Great hotel in Whistler Village

Review of Sundial Hotel
5.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed Dec 1, 2024
Great hotel centrally located in Whistler Village. The rooms are excellent. Beds are comfortable , the kitchen is well equipped , great bathrooms with good products and the fire creates a cosy atmosphere. The highlight for us was the staff on front desk and concierge duty who were incredibly helpful and friendly. Highly Recommend.

Would recommend staying here.

Dear Sonia,

Thank you for taking the time to leave your review. I'm delighted to hear that you felt comfortable in your suite and our staff were friendly and helpful throughout your stay. There's nothing quite like cozying up next to a fireplace after a day of skiing is there!

We hope to welcome you back to the Sundial one day in the future, and wish you all the best.

Kind regards,
Harry

Staff were all fantastic helpful and welcoming....
However, I would not stay again. The hotel is outdated, not comfortable in anyway and in very real need of updates and repairs. Even for the cost I wouldn't recommend, pay a bit more and stay somewhere nicer.
I thought I would try it with my family as a cheaper option than our normal hotel, won't be doing that again.

Dear Heather,

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback, we appreciate hearing about each and every experience as it allows us to continuously monitor and improve our level of service.

I am pleased to hear that your interactions with our staff were positive. We do our utmost to create a welcoming environment and it is encouraging to hear that was felt.

On the other hand, it is clear we have been subpar when it comes to comfortability and modernity as you mentioned. On this occasion we have fallen short of the standard that we set ourselves, and for that I truly apologise.

If you wish to discuss your feedback any further please do reach out to us directly as this will allow us to pinpoint areas of improvement and plan for future upgrades accordingly.

I do hope you still managed to enjoy your time in Whistler despite the challenges, and whilst it may not be at the Sundial, we hope you continue to enjoy your visits to Whistler for years to come.

Once again, thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback, and I sincerely apologise that you did not enjoy your stay with us.

Kind regards,
Harry

We arrived late on a Friday night and we're warmly greeted at the Front desk by Harry. During our stay we chatted with him often in passing, he was so helpful always with a giant smile. He would often inquire about our room and if everything was perfect with our stay! Another star we had the pleasure of meeting was Louis the concierge, he was very friendly and took time to chat with our 7 year old son about his first day skiing Whistler. Our room was beautiful with a warm fireplace and views of the beautiful village and mountain from our cozy livingroom. All around the hotel everything was clean and tidy. We loved being so close to the lifts and in the heart of the action in the Skiiers Plaza. Highly recommend a stay at the Sundial Whistler!

Dear Jamie,

It truly was an absolute pleasure having you and your family stay with us. Meeting and sharing stories with people like yourselves who love Whistler just as much as we do is one of the many rewarding elements that come with working here at the Sundial.

Louis has also seen your review, and I must admit, we were both beaming when we found out that we'd made your experience that little bit more special.

Glad to hear the suite was to your satisfaction, location suited your needs, and that the common areas were kept to a high standard.

We look forward to welcoming you back in the future and we wish you and your family all the best.

Kind regards,
Harry

We recently stayed at the Sundial and we had an amazing stay. The location is perfect, directly in front of the gondolas. We opted for a two bedroom suit, the fires place in the living space made it cozy and the view of the mountain, amazing! Our room was so enjoyable we opted to cook in so we could enjoy the view along with the fireplace and of course we enjoyed the people watching. I also loved all the small touches, for example the yoga mat, the hot chocolate bar for apres ski and the roof top hot tub. All the employees were incredibly friendly and helpful! Can't wait to come back!

A two night stay for a marriage proposal. Gemma and Kris went out of their way to assist me with planning - including petals in the bedroom and arranging for a specific sparkling wine. They were fantastic and assisted with any issues we encountered. Many thanks!
