My family had booked a back country skiing adventure, but when one of the group couldn't make it, they invited me (Grannie) along. Being almost 80, I was not about to accompany them on their adventures, but just to have a relaxing time at the lodge. I had not counted on the beauty of the surroundings and was stunned. I spent many hours just exploring the trails on my own. It felt that I was in another world, beautiful mountains, cleared trails, peaceful beyond imagination.
The rest of the family enjoyed their adventures with a guide too and we got together over a great dinner. They had box lunches, but I had excellent choices by myself. One night we all went to the hot tub and enjoyed that too.
My thanks, to whomever had to back out of this trip, because it was a trip of a lifetime for me.More
