This hotel has great views,GREAT customer service and a delicious restaurant. It was a toss up between staying here (further away from the village) or right in the Village. I'm glad we stayed here. It was a nice perk having the drivers give us tips on what to do (like watching the World Cup Races at the Sliding Centre-which we wouldn't have known about ourselves). To helping us beat the lines for our skiing. They'd drop us off (or pick up) as close to our location in the Village as possible. The rooms were very nice, floor heaters in the bathrooms, comfy beds, delicious pressed coffee with real cream. The only negative that stopped me from giving full 5 stars, was that we could hear our neighbors VERY clearly. (I'm just glad we didn't any young children staying with us to try and explain!). I think it was due to the adjoining doors between our rooms that the sound would travel right into our room. Hopefully they can install better soundproofing doors in future. Other than that, we would definitely stay here again (just with no adjoining doors!)

Room Tip: No adjoining doors if you don't want to hear your neighbors.

We arrived late Saturday evening after an accident on Sea-to-sky highway had delayed our journey time! Within seconds of the coach arriving our bags were taken from us and whisked to our room. The reception staff (surprisingly an Aussie and English-Geordie) welcomed us to Nita Lake and Whistler with beaming smiles and a nothing could be a problem attitude!

From day one nothing was a problem our room was very clean and catered for everything we needed included heated tiled floor in the bathroom to the glow of the fire in the bedroom!

Reception staff offered suggestions on places to eat as well as arranging your booking transport to and from the venue of choice. The complimentary shuttle proved invaluable!

My partner and I travelled to Nita Lake for a ski holiday and found the location to be perfect! The Creekside gondola is within 5 mins walk from the hotel which gives you access to all of Whistler and Blackcomb facilities without the wait time of the main village lifts. Also as an added benefit Nita offers free ski storage at the Can-Ski store at Creekside 200 metres max from the lift, saving you the pain of carrying boots, skis and poles back to the hotel after a long day on the slopes!!!!

While at Nita we also treated ourselves to some spa treatments which was well worth the little indulgence!

On the whole Nita Lake Lodge leaves you wanting for nothing bar a longer stay and a true wish to return! It's true that you get what you pay for and Nita Lake is worth every penny

C&C

PS. The eggs benedict for breakfast at the Aura restaurant are to die for! Personal recomendation is the tomatoes and goats cheese

WOW, what a beautiful resort! Extremely clean and modern. We had two families share a 2 bedroom Lake View room for 3 nights. Loft bedroom was ginormous!!! Staff is so friendly and helpful, they will plan your weekend for you if you like with where and when to eat, arrange your ride..which I MUST add is included in your stay, and we aren't talking about a shuttle bus..its a luxury SUV with a friendly driver.. If your like me and didn't read the room amenities correctly, its only a kitchenette (microwave, bar fridge, sink, and all the dishes you need including wine glasses) but if you are expecting an oven and kitchen table its not in this room. No big deal though...there are SOOOOOO many places to eat, as well as a deli cafe at the resort. Highly recommend and we will book again if when we come back to Whistler.

Room Tip: Lake View Suites overlook the lake, and the loft upstairs is very private

We stayed at Nita Lake Resort for two nights in mid-February. This was our third stay at Nita Lake, and it remains our first choice for Whistler accomodations for its location, its spacious high-end rooms, and its exceptional staff.

The location at Creekside is very good for skiiing, and is about a 8 minute drive to the village. Fortunately the resort offers a free shuttle that runs very regularly for both drop off and pick up, so its very convenient to get in and out of the village. I know that some prefer to be right in the village, but we personally find Creekside, and particularly Nita Lake, to be far more peaceful and scenic. Nita Lake itself, of which many rooms have a view, is very nice. There's a great walking trail around it as well. Still it's only a 3-5 minute walk to the Creekside lift as well as a number of restaurants, bars, and liquor stores.

The resort is gorgeous and seems almost new. I've stayed in both 1 bedroom rooms as well as studios. They've all been large, bright, well appointed, with high ceilings and high-end finishing. Most importantly, they feel very "Whistler" in their chalet styling. The whole resort really does. Prior to Nita Lake we stayed largely at the Chateau Whistler (Fairmont) and Westin, and while both are nice, they simply don't have the charm of Nita Lake, and the rooms simlpy aren't in the same league, certainly at the studio/1 bedroom level.

Lastly, the staff at Nita Lake are uniformly excellent. They're accomodating, friendly, and professional. Pretty much what you should expect at any high-end resort. On our last stay Lola in particular was incredibly helpful, remembered our names (even our dog's, who I should mention was treated like a little king), helped us with our rooms, and on and on.

The Aura restaurant is probably the best under the radar secret in Whistler. I'm not going to say it puts Araxi and Bearfoot to shame, but it certainly compares favourably and at a much better value. The bar/louge is also top notch, I'm not a big caesar fan but everyone I've been up there with has said its the best they've ever had.

In short, Nita Lake is 5 stars across the board.

Its a very laid back chilled out atmosphere- if youre looking for a Four Seasons ski resort, head into town. This is quiet, pristine and somewhat disconnected property on a beautiful lake. WHile its not in town, we were driven to/from town in a lovely Lexus jeep upon request.

We ate dinner on our private terrace, we hiked the nearby trails which lead straight onto the property, we enjoyed the incredible spa. Just a wonderful relaxed time spent in the mountains.
