As an early pioneer of farm to table dining, Executive Chef James Walt's seasonally focused menus celebrate the excellence of locally sourced ingredients. Walt's innovative and skillfully executed dishes-from savoury starters through delicious desserts-deliver intelligent compositions and unforgettable flavours. Centrally located in the main square of the village, Araxi boasts a contemporary dining room coloured in warm earth tones - and a sleek Oyster Bar that exudes the passion and craftsmanship that lie at the heart of the restaurant. We went looking for a romantic nice dinner and we found it. The food was very good (not over the top) but good. Great Oysters and the service was exceptional. I strongly recommend it.

The food here was great, much better than I had anticipated. We showed up 30 minutes early for our reservation and they were able to seat us immediately. The waiter was very nice and helpful throughout our meal. The only downside is that there is no real atmosphere. Araxi is very big, bright and loud. I would not recommend going there for a romantic evening.

We were lucky and managed to secure a last minute booking for 2 for an early sitting but I would highly recommend booking in advance.
The service was excellent - attentive but not intrusive. The food was incredible and deceptively filling. Perfect place for a special occasion.

We booked Araxi online well in advance prior to leaving for our holiday, and were very glad we did. The restaurant was completely full - our table was not quite ready when we arrived and so we were seated at the bar for a drink while we waited. We had oysters to start followed by 3 courses- each was beautifully presented, the quality of the food was excellent and we left entirely satisfied. Our only criticism is that our male server was very cold, almost bordering on rude - a level of service which we would not expect from such a fine restaurant.
