Friendly and low key which is what we were looking for on the afternoon we went there during happy hour. The service was professional and welcoming. Ten oysters each along with a martini for one and prosecco for the other was a nice way to transition into the early evening.

Had to wait to get in right at 3, but so worth it. Loved the oysters and fondue. The firecracker margarita was amazing! Make a plan now to get in...

Myself and three of my closest friends went to Araxi this past Friday night for dinner. We were instantly welcomed by the team at the front door. Despite a lengthy wait for a table, we were welcomed and made to feel very comfortable. It's not an easy task to tell someone to wait an hour for a table and have them say ok with a smile. We enjoyed a cocktail while we waited and the time flew by. The staff did a wonderful job of keeping us informed of of our table and so we never once felt forgotten about.

Once seated, the excitement really began. We ordered cocktails and appetizers. We were welcomed by our amazing server James and pampered to an incredible bottle of wine selected by the talented sommelier Jason. Every bite, every sip, was pure delight. Every single dish ordered was shared and enjoyed by all. It was very clear that every piece of food put on each plate was done so with talent, passion, and a love for food. James and Jason made sure all of our needs were met without being overbearing or intrusive.

A customized desert arrived at the end and the birthday girl was made to feel very special. It was a night we will all remember for a long time. Myself and three friends would like to thank James and Jason for their wonderful hospitality, as well as the all of the staff behind the scenes that made our evening so memorable.

If you have the chance to see and explore Whistler, Araxi should be very high on your list of places to dine.

Thank you again team!!

The restaurant does almost everything fabulously well. The decor and ambience is quality, the menu is exciting and the food doesn’t disappoint. In fact all of our meals were described by our family as outstanding, the cooking and presentation of a uniformly high standard. The wine list is extensive but you need a deep breath and deep pockets. We did however find an excellent NZ Pinot noir for a reasonable price. The service was knowledgeable and professional but sometimes he disappeared and we ended up pouring our own wine. This restaurant is very good indeed.

Service was impeccable. atmosphere is refined.
Food was presented well; generally delicate, refined, and less than intense flavors.

e.g. had pork tenderloin wrapped in prosciutto. tenderloin was indeed extremely tender but prosciutto slice was so thin, really couldn't taste it. (IMHO, wrapping in pancetta would have been more flavorful).

as "the best restaurant in Whistler", could find better value elsewhere.
