“Great outdoor patio”
Reviewed 21 June 2016 via mobile

We had reservations in the train car but it was such a beautiful evening, we opted to sit outside on the patio. Good choice.....nice seating arrangement, no bugs and plenty of shade and flowers. Server, Curtis, was very friendly and took the time to chat. House wines were Chilean and good. Complimentary bread basket offered 3 varieties of bread and came with a garlic balsamic/olive oil dip.The Ceasar salad was one of the best I have had lately.....crisp romaine, amazing maple bacon pieces, shaved Parmesan, grilled baguette slices and a great traditional dressing. It was big enough to share. The rack of lamb was done to perfection and the Saskatoon glaze was great. Potato wedges, fresh veggies (asparagus and broccoli) and a very zesty mint relish accompanied the meal. It was excellent! The pickerel with the lemon caper sauce was also very tasty. It was a large serving of fish (2 fillets) and it came with plenty of crisp ricotta gnocchi, spinach, mushrooms, and the green veggies. It was a large meal! It was very good but perhaps a tad too buttery for my liking. Desserts looked amazing but we had no room left. All in all a most pleasant dining experience in a historic setting.

“Great Food and wonderful Patio”
Reviewed 20 June 2016

Patio is perfect for an evening meal. Food was wonderful. Had the daily special of Asparagus Crepes with a crisp and delicious garden salad. Wine and cocktails were excellent and service was attentive by yet discreet. Went on a Thursday evening and enjoyed the live jazz on the patio. Will definitely return.

“Good foods!”
Reviewed 16 June 2016

It's located in a old train station and a part of the restaurant is also in a train wagon. The food is excellent with a mix of French Canadian and French inspiration. I enjoy their lambs plate they served me: the look of the plate could be nicer, but it was tasteful! Dessert: you need to the order their sugar pie: in my sugar pie “top 5”!
Service: it’s truly a Canadian restaurant where you can be serve in French or in English!
Wine list: good wine list.
Price: in regards of the quality of the meals, it’s OK!

We went on a Thursday on the patio. Enjoyed the jazz and food. Service was acceptable but we felt a bit neglected at times.

Sorry that you felt neglected.

As owners we try to hire, train and keep good staff with the intent that this not happen. Please tell us in person next time so that we can make things right and maybe give more training to a staff member.
