It was nice to see the newly renovated room and upgraded furniture... they obviously have been doing a lot of work... the staff were friendly, it was clean, and the price was excellent... Glad to see all the changes... great value, great stay!!

Very run down, room smelled, no lights in bedroom, no hot water, cottage meant for 4 was extremely tiny, love seat in living room, 1 chair in kitchen and no stove. Windows broken, unprofessional staff.

Should have known this was going to be a bad stay from the first phone conversation. Looking for a place for 2 couples to stay, was first told they didn't have any cottages left and the best they could do was a room that had a wall between the two beds. Said I would have to talk it over with the other couple. When I called back to book it, (5 minutes later) they said it wasn't available but they had a 2 bedroom cottage they could give us instead.

When we got there, our non smoking room smelled of cigarette smoke, and the windows were painted shut in the main room. There was only a love seat in the living room, 1 chair in the kitchen and no stove to cook on. Didn't have time to complain as we had to unpack, and head out again. That night we discovered there were no lights in the bedroom, and the Windows we were able to crank out in our bedroom wouldn't crank shut. Sent one of the guys out to push the window shut, while pushing back the curtain, the curtain rod fell off the window and hit me in the face.

Complained at checkout the next morning and was told "We are aware of these issues and that's why it's priced at that rate". Our biggest issue was that they knew we were 4 adults and wanted privacy, this was stressed on the first phone call....we should have been made aware of the cottage problems when we booked it!

Room Tip: Pick a different hotel!

price is fair, nice view of the river but the place could use some cleaning staff, spider webs everywhere. the restaurant downstairs had to be asked to turn the outside music down as it was blaring directly up to our room above.

Stayed for one night. Chose motel for location and restaurant which were both good.First room offered was non-smoking but reeked of smoke. Complained and we were given room next door which did not smell of smoke. We expected room to be basic but there was only one chair and next morning found the shower didn't work at all.

Dirty fridge : I had to clean it before use. Cigarette smells in a non smoking room, mixed with deodorizers. Shower very difficult to set the temperature and intensity. Noisy because of the proximity of the road and non well-sealed windows. Was perhaps comfortable thirty years ago.
