“Two Bedroom Suite Great for Two Couples”
Reviewed 4 June 2012

Two Bedroom Suite Great for Two Couples

We stayed at the Residence Inn recently and had a great stay. We liked the location, as the girls wanted to do some shopping at the nearby mall, and then we walked up to The Old Triangle for food and drinks.

The Two Bedroom Suite is a great fit for two couples; with a king in one bedroom and a queen in the other (I don’t know why they don’t have a king in the second bedroom, as there is room for one?). Each bedroom has their own bathroom, and with the living area between them, you’re not disturbed by the other couple.

We thought it was a real bargain, especially when they throw breakfast in as well. I didn’t like the $12.50 for parking and they should just factor that cost in to the room rate.

My only complaint was the heating control for the Two Bedroom Suite…there is only one for two bedrooms?? How would they make a mistake like that?

Overall, we had a great stay and will go back.

Room Tip: Two Bedroom Suites only have one thermostat?

We spent a couple of nights here on our way to Nova Scotia to break up our trip & were very impressed at how much we felt at home. The rooms are set up very nicely to give you the feel of a small apartment. There are homey touches all around & gives the feel of not being in a hotel. It is handy to all the attractions Moncton has to offer & great rest up before traveling on to Nova Scotia or PEI. They have a decent size pool & nice little breakfast set up. Other meals can be enjoyed at the well equiped k itchen area in your room. It was very clean & the staff are most welcoming.

First off. I really like this hotel. The rooms are great (studios have better bathrooms than 1 bedroomers) and the complimentary evening snacks are a nice touch, but the breakfast kills me.

It's decent, 90% of it is great but what's with the turkey bacon? The toast is made of bread, the milk comes from cows, but for some reason their bacon comes from Turkeys. It doesn't taste as good and let's be honest, it's not bacon.

I've tried to get over this but for the life of me I can't. The Delta has real bacon, the Chateau has real bacon but the Marriott has the fake stuff.

If it weren't for the aeroplan points I wouldn't stay here.

So please, Mr Marriott, if you're there, send some pigs to Moncton so that I can finally have a fulfilling breakfast

Thank you for taking the time to write a review. We’re pleased to hear you enjoyed our spacious accommodations and complimentary snacks. As for the buffet, the Residence Inn breakfast requires turkey bacon for healthier eating and our breakfast choices do change daily. We normally serve sausages; however, our healthy eating guidelines require us to serve turkey bacon several times per week.

We look forward to welcoming you back again soon.

Had a short business trip up to Moncton. Very nice hotel. Upgraded to a spacious two bedroom suite. Stainless steel appliances in the kitchen, nice sized bedrooms, two baths (one with free-standing shower and one with bathtub). Three flat screen TV's throughout the area. Only negative that I found was that both hair blow-dryers would only blow cold air. Not a major concern but if you've allocated a certain amount of time to get ready in the morning and you're standing there trying to get your hair dry before venturing out into the cold New Brunswick weather, cold air doesn't cut it. I'm sure it has to do with safety concerns or something like that but it was the only negative I found at the hotel. Next time I'll bring my own!

We stayed here for one night during a recent shopping trip. It's a nice hotel. The rooms are tastefully decorated and it was quiet when we were there (we requested a room on the river side, 6th floor for a good night sleep!). The pool is a little small with all the kids present on the week-ends but it is fine unless you want to do laps. My main issue is that in a city like Moncton, I would have expected that reception staff could speak French, which they couldn't. In addition, I noticed that all the marriott brochures in the room were provided only in English. I

We appreciate you taking the time to provide feedback about your recent stay with us. We’re pleased to hear that you enjoyed our modern & spacious guest suites and convenient location in downtown Moncton.

Our apologies for the issues experienced with the Front Desk; we do have several agents that are bilingual, however, not everyone speaks French. In regards to your directories, we appreciate your comments and we will certainly look into obtaining bilingual copies.

Thank you again for your comments and we look forward to welcoming you back again soon.

Very clean hotel (common areas and rooms). The hotel still has that 'new' feeling. Great facilities, tasty (hot) breakfast, friendly and attentive staff. The hotel was also in a great location - on Main Street close to lots of pubs and shops. Only downside was a $12/day parking fee, but downtown, this is to be expected.

One tip - if you plan on eating at the on site restaurant (The Keg - which is great), make reservations and relax in your room. They will call you and you won't have to wait in the crowded waiting room of the restaurant.

Room Tip: All rooms are suites with a kitchen. Can't really go wrong!
