My wife and I met several friends for supper.
We were entertained as the cef prepared our individual meals in front of us.
The food was exceptional and reasonably priced.
This restaurant is new to Moncton since our last vist but we hope that it will be there for our next.

I can only speak for the Tepanyaki section (have not tried the sushi). Although the restaurant is very nice and the staff very welcoming, the food is what I would qualify as average to good (and certainly not excellent). We were 8 diners, and most would agree with this assessment. What is even more shocking are the prices. I don't know how such average food can command such high prices. Maybe it's because it's new and people in Moncton are ready to pay those prices. Not sure. But I know that you can get much better for much cheaper in any large Canadian city. That being said, I have heard that the sushi is worth trying.

Towards the end of Moncton's Main Street, they offer regular dinner, bar-stool, and Hibachi style dining. We had a hibachi dinner, and enjoyed the young chef's skills, even with a mis-cue or two. He put on a good show. Excellent meal, and the other diners (10 in all) at that section where very satisfied. The appetizers are really, really good, and some are almost filling in their own right if you are a friend are a light eater, so dont over-order appetizers.

I've heard rave reviews about this place since the day it opened. Decided to check it out. We showed up later in the evening so the restaurant wasn't busy. We were greeted and seated immediately. I recognized our waiter from the Korean BBQ at the dieppe market (also a must try). Anyhow, we ordered wakame salad, kimchi, a few different sushi rolls and the spicy chicken. Everything came out quickly and tasted great. Definitely have had similar plates at other restaurants but overall is good. Was pretty expensive but nice for a night out.

We popped-in to this new restaurant four days after they first opened their doors. We sat at the sushi counter because we like to watch the creations unfold. The presentation is impressive; not only does it taste good but it looks spectacular! Our server was very friendly and we have also encountered him at his family’s Korean BBQ food stall at the Dieppe Market (more good food). Head Chef, Sean Jun, seemed a little shy but was also friendly and open to conversation while he worked. We had Bulkogi (sautéed marinated sirloin beef served with Miso soup and steamed rice) and Unadon (barbequed eel on a bed of rice served with Miso soup). The Bulkogi was good with lots of flavour. The eel was very tender and melted in your mouth. The Miso soup had a nice subtle flavour but was warm, not hot enough. The decor and atmosphere in this new restaurant were quite nice and follow the theme of a typical Japanese style restaurant, complete with private areas along the side where you can isolate a table or two, and close it off for boisterous groups. The two wall-mounted TVs behind the sushi counter were a little distracting and seemed a little out of the restaurant's theme, but will allow sports fans to enjoy great food without missing a game. The restaurant also has a Tepanyaki section which we will try on our next visit. We were told that in the Tepanyaki section, you sit around a large grill with a chef standing by to fry up your order in front of you, no doubt with an entertaining flourish - one more thing to look forward to.
