“Usually a safe bet for a place to eat!”
Reviewed 18 October 2011

The Med as it is known to locals is usually a safe bet when going out to eat. They have a nice variety to the menu and everyone should be able to find something. The food is good and the service is usually friendly. There are 2 sides to the restaurant, the main dining room which has under gone a referb and the seperate diner area that reminds people of a 50's diner with the coin-op juke box on the tables. The menu is the same for both sides of the establishment so it really depends on what atmosphere your want while having dinner; the fun & relaxed diner feel in a booth or a quaint meal in the main dining room.

“I would say gone are the days when food was good there.”
Reviewed 5 June 2011

My husband and myself as well as our family members have been going there for 30 yrs. The food was always great until a yr or so ago. Now it is always cold and I mean a pat of butter won't even melt on the potatoes and the soup and gravy is like out of the fridge. The recipes and taste are not the same. Greek restaurant but all the cooks are Chinese. What happened to the family that ran it so well for so long??

“Best food, portions and service in Saint John”
Reviewed 16 October 2010

Love the food at this restaurant. You will never leave hungry. The dressings are homemade and will leave you wanting more. My favourites are the Souvlaki, Chicken stir fry and pan broiled haddock. Make sure you go because you will be back if you do!

“Just About as Good as a Hungry Man Frozen Dinner”
Reviewed 18 September 2010

If this is the best meditteranean restaurant in Saint John, I really feel sorry for the city. Considering that the food has just about as much taste as a frozen dinner (we got the lamb, is was served with lots of gravy, vegetables and potatoes), very bland and lacking in the spices which make greek food so delectable. We ordered an entree special that included soup, salad, coffee/ tea and dessert. The soup tasted just like it came straight out of a can. When it came time for dessert, we were told that our special only offered tapioca pudding. We asked if we could have it to take home, and our modest request was refused. Talk about great customer service. Price of food was okay, but overpriced when considering the quality of it.
