We decided to get away for a night and break the monotony of online learning and covid restrictions. I had booked online and had requested the upgrade to a room with a whirlpool tub through the website. When we arrived, it was obviously not busy and I had guessed we were upgraded. (I should have asked)
Our first room was a basic queen room and it was clean but faced a parking lot. After going out for dinner, I asked about the upgrade since total cost was never mentioned. They offered to move us to a suite across from us, I told them I was looking forward to the city view.
The room had a large sign over the window, not a dealbreaker but not one I would have chose. The room was large and spacious. The whirlpool bath was wonderful.
Despite following the directions to a tee, the motor turned on a few times after we used the tub. After the third time, it seemed to finally stop. Not a big deal.
Where my review comes down majorly was the fact that we could hear *everything* happening in the suite above us. The whirlpool ran until almost 1am and they they had extremely loud sex. I’m no prude but it was awful. We weren’t able to fall asleep until close to 2am.
I know hotels are not soundproof, but it shocked me how I could hear everything, including the bed rocking and their voices. It sure ruined our trip.
