We've been there for more than a week. The room was small. When we arrive a dropped a tangerine on the floor. Couldn't find it. I eventually found it under the bed. Although the room had been cleaned already three times. The breakfast is the same every day. Toast, muffins, cereal and coffee. So I had the same breakfast for a week. Except for that it's a great location. Everything at a walking distance.

Thank-you for your comments.

The tangerine is a first. I guess the cleaner had the same problem as you folks did in finding it!!

We have eliminated breakfast service. Tastes and expectations have changed dramatically in recent years. It is far better to have guests pleasantly surprised by any little extras they may find, rather than be disappointed with unrealized expectations.

Breakfast is on your own. We provide guest access to a refrigerator and microwave, as well as cutlery, cups, and plates. Feel free to help yourself to coffee and tea.

Just steps away, at the intersection of Monsktown / 142 Military is the Hungry Heart Cafe (738-6164) whose professional chefs can cater to every dietary restriction, or walk down to 246 Duckworth Street, Newfoundland's foremost breakfast house "The Bagel Cafe" (739-4470)

Tourism sites and attractions are moving targets in terms of hours or seasons of operation. Itinerary services / suggestions / recommendations are best left to seasoned professionals.

This is a brilliant downtown bed and breakfast hosted by Todd who makes fabulous cooked breakfast of pancakes or scrambled egg, sausage, watermelon, orange, grapes, on the side, with coffee, cereal, and sitting at a cosy table. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Todd was full of local information too. Free local calls.
The location was handy for everything.

First time we ever tried B&B's. I figured what can we lose? It was lovely so we checked out four. The rooms here were well appointed and comfortable. Hot breakfast was an unexpected treat. The innkeeper is a seasoned travel agent so was a font of information and everything in the Province.

We stayed in Room 1 which had a lovely inlaid oak floor and spacious bathroom

Room Tip: Rooms on back might be quieter but the front were deadly quiet too

Fantastic location, great breakfast, comfortable beds and excellent host. Had the 3rd floor room, little tight in the bathroom but not an issue. Please consider this property when heading to the Rock! Keep up the good work.

This place is a gem! The breakfasts are works of art! Easy walk from here to George street. Off-street parking is available too, which is a must in central St. John's. It's an even easier walk to harbor-front St John's with its parks for viewing incoming cruise ships and other ships in the harbor. Can't say enough about how good the breakfasts were. Be sure to try the partridge-berry jam on your toast!

Room Tip: Room 5 has excellent views of downtown St. John's.
