We had dinner at The Celtic Hearth which is associated with and a physical part of Bridie Molloy's. Try the Jiggs Pie; it is fantastic. It is a savoury menu item that The Newfoundlanders are known for.

By looks of it everyone heads here once the bars close down as there are not many other options.
Basic pub food but pricey, club sandwich was ok but watching riff raff was better.

Good music
non existent staff
no service
Spent 25 minutes listening to good music
Only recognition from staff ( and it was not busy)
was waitress that whizzed by and yelled "How are you doing?
Even if this was a 'go up to the bar to get your drinks' place no one indicated that.
Not impressed

Nothing out of the ordinary, but if you are looking for traditional music, good beer, decent food and friendly door/bar staff on George Street, then you should give Bridie's a try.

We were there for dinner, and it was very quiet, which we found rather strange as we had tried to get into the Yellowbelly Brewery and there was a one hour wait. We were glad though, because Bridie Molloy's was great. I had the mac and cheese and it was very good, and the ambiance was just what you'd want in an Irish pub. We were really surprised that it wasn't busier.
