Once again we had a great time and amazing food @ Chinched. The ever changing menus continue to offer very tasty and unique plates. The Yaki Onigiri was SO good! Don't let the description of the dish scare you! The SPAM is not from a can!

We will be back again soon!

Cannot say enough about how much we loved the perfectly tasty, balanced, and specially crafted small plates at a supper out one night when we lived out east. Gorgeous dark chocolate and a most excellent server (an owner of the restaurant too, I believe--something wonderful to see) ended our meal on a perfect note. Every course from start to finish was mouth watering, and we left thoroughly impressed. A must do if in St. John's! Will never miss returning for a bite when back for a visit!

If you’re into sharing smaller plates, this restaurant is definitely for you! While we didn’t go for the popular charcuter board offerings, we did try several other dishes and a variety of cocktails.

Each was delightful! The Shag It cocktail was especially surprising, and contains mustard of all things. Don’t be shy; it’s delicious! The nightly special Kentucky Blonde was also spectacular, as was the service.

The squid ink pasta was easily the best squid I’ve ever had, and the pork belly arrangement was expertly prepared, even if untraditional in presentation.

Book it now and let this little gem surprise you!

I recently visited St John's for a few days for business. This was the restaurant we visited on our last evening in St John's.
I loved everything we tried from Charcuterie (meats were amazing, did not try the cheese) to oysters, to ribs to dessert and everything in between. I thought this was one of the highlights of my visit when it came to food. Everything is meant to be shared but there a couple of dishes you could eat as a main (Cod being one).
Even though the restaurant was busy, it was not packed and noise level did not seem particularly high. A great experience with amazing food, I would definitely return!

I went here with some business friends for lunch and we loved it. I had the ham and brie sandwich. We shared the olives and pigs ears. Service was spot on. Over all it was fabulous. This is a very small restaurant with community tables which might not be for everyone but we had the whole table to ourselves and even if we hadn't it would still have been a very worthwhile experience.
