We went there to watch the sunrise.
The first sunrise in North America.
It was awesome.
There were also whale swimming nearby. They were so close to the shore, you can hear them.

Spent some time here during a foggy afternoon. Spoted a whale from shore and watch everyone enjoy the view from the most Easterly point in North America.

North America's most easterly point, so you have to go. If the weather is nice, which is was for a change, you get a nice view of the ocean, and if you are lucky and stay long enough you may get to see whales like we did. There are hiking trails for those that like to walk, just stay back from the edge.

This is a good place to refresh your knowledge of the history of Newfoundland - both it's importance as a fishing port and a military installation.
