I read all the other reviews and was expecting something "out of this world". Other than the beautiful views there was nothing amazing about this cottage. We stayed in the Sneezewort's Shanty and were disappointed. Upon arrival we loved it, but the love diminished as each day went by. The Android box didn't work all the time (with 4 kids I would have preferred cable or the box to WORK for the late "nothing to do" evenings). When I asked the manager he said he didn't really know how it worked.

There was no water pressure in either of the washrooms. The water came out clean and turned a murky yellow in the sink/bathtub. When the manager was told about this he said it was well water, but went through 3 filters and would change them. We didn't notice a difference. One of the bathroom sinks was clogged from day 1 and manager said he would fix the plugged sink, but he never came back. The toilet in the same bathroom would get clogged a few times a day. My husband didn't really enjoy spending his vacation with a plunger.

There was no A/C and bugs everywhere. This is to be expected in a cottage, but management did nothing to keep the outside clean of hanging spiders/webs. The washer and dryer were NOT free and you even had to buy detergent from management if you wanted to wash your clothes.

The view was pretty, but don't be fooled by the pictures - the "sandy beach" area was VERY small and always full of seaweed and rocks. The common area with the firepit seemed to be blocked off by trees and we felt like we were trespassing on the other Larinda cottages - hence we never used the firepit.

I gave my review a 3 because we did have a good time (spent in other areas of the province) and the view was pretty, but at over $400 per night it was NOT what I expected. I've stayed in better for cheaper. I will NEVER stay there again.

What a lovely setting! A little piece of heaven !!! Even better than the web site shows. The cottage was lovely, clean and beautifully presented with our own deck..... And beach!!!! Excellent attention to detail and customer care made our stay a real delight. Thank you for a delightful holiday!

Grandma's treat, for two sons and their families, we rented Snoozeworts and Cloudberry for a week in June. Lovely cottages with everything you could need for a comfortable stay. Setting is gorgeous, well kept gardens, small but enjoyable private beach, room for lawn games and camp fires (if there is no provincial fire ban!). 30-60 minutes drives to great outings, like Crystal Crescent beach, Halifax water front, Atlantic Playland, pony rides, Peggy's Cove, Lunenberg, and biking or walking trails. Sobeys, Atlantic Superstore, and NSLC for necessities nearby. The Shore Club a fantastic place for lobster supper. The staff are very helpful and friendly. We hope to go back one day!

We recently stayed for 3 nights here, in the "Crows Nest" one of the 6 cottages. Absolutely loved it. All of the cottages look picture perfect and ours was completely stocked, just needed to bring our food. The upstairs was a airy loft bedroom with a little deck off it. Perfect for having our morning coffee and breakfast every day. We BBQ'd every night, and ate outside on the deck every time. Had a great fire in our private firepit one night, and other night took our lawn chairs down to the beach to enjoy watching the sunset. If you have kayaks would be a great place to use them. We'll bring them along next time. Beach is small but sandy, its the Atlantic Ocean so don't expect the water to be too warm, but we're from the Maritimes,so we're used to it :) Android TV was in the cottages which was nice, and the WIFI was free and great signal. Fairly close drive to Halifax, Peggy's cove and Lunenburg, so lots to see and do, if you get tired of relaxing. Would definitely recommend and can't wait to go back.

Having just returned from a 1 night getaway to Larindas, I didn't want to hesitate in writing a short review. We stayed in cottage 6, Crows Nest Cottage. Loved the interior, the loft bedroom, beautiful stone fireplace, great views, large deck, private firepit area. Nice little beach area to use (although water way too cold this time if year). We enjoyed our cottage as it had everything that you would need for a comfortable stay. We loved the private grassy area directly off of our deck, we sat here for hours enjoying the view. We would definitely return and would request this cottage again as we found it to be the most private and loved the beachy, rustic feel to it.
