- Not your average "wine tour"
- See, taste, experience a piece of LOCAL NS
- Incredible value for a full day
- A great activity, rain or shine
- Suitable for anyone 19 and older
- A wonderful way to support local, independent, business

Laila is an exceptional guide with a wealth of knowledge - not only about wine, but about the local area, history, and current events. The Thirsty Thursday tour was a nice change from your typical vineyard tour, as the day includes visits to a vineyard, brewery, distillery, and a cidery (everything was of exceptional quality).

Lunch at the Port Pub was fabulous - local, very large portions, and absolutely delicious (we also tasted all the beers made at the Port Pub during lunch - at our own expense -, an added bonus). The scenery is also incredible.

Probably the nicest thing about this tour is the small, intimate, atmosphere. There were 6 of us (I believe there is a max of 8 people per tour) which allowed for nice conversation and the ability to get to know your fellow tour goers. There is nothing "sheepling" about this activity - you know, being shuffled in a big herd from place to place - BAAAA.

The Annapolis Valley is a stunningly beautiful region of Nova Scotia, not to be missed. I highly recommend this tour for those who would like to experience some of the local products of the area. You will not be dissapointed!

Very informative tour with a great introduction to Nova Scotia's wine industry. Laila was very personable and open. She had great ideas and tips for travelling within and outside Canada. The wine region is new but offers delicious wines. We stopped at three wineries and the tangled garden. Would highly recommend doing this tour. Good luck getting the local wines into the hotels and restaurants!

We expected a day of wines and got much more. The three wineries provided a great selection of tastes, including ICE WINE (wonderful & totally new to me). An excellent seated lunch was included (a real sit-down meal, not just sandwiches & chips). The winemekers were excited about their product and eager to show it to us.

But then . . . there was a cheese plant at a dairy farm with more tasting.

And at the end of the tour, a large herb garden with trees and shrubs for a peaceful stroll. Then finally, more tasting of exquisite herb jellies.

All along the way our knowledgable guide, Lila, pointed out interesting historical spots and explained the development of winemaking in Nova Scotia. She has well researched and developed a worthwhile experience.

All in all, a truly memorable day.

Lila - the company operator and our tour guide - offers an excellent introduction to Nova Scotia wine country in the Annapolis Valley. She is very knowledgeable about the geography and history of the area and has lots of anecdotes and information to make the drive from Halifax interesting. She is very well educated about local grapes, terroir, and wine characteristics. She has developed a relationship with the personnel in each of the wineries and attractions, and we were warmly welcomed everywhere. This tour was a great choice for our group of four adults to spend a day in Nova Scotia!

My friends and I recently booked the Easter Egg hunt wine tour and had an AMAZING time. Seven of us went and Jeremy was our knowledgeable and fun tour guide. From Halifax, we visited Planter's Ridge, Gaspereau, and Grand Pre wineries. At each winery, we did an Easter egg hunt followed by wine tastings. So much fun. This was my sixth tour with Go North, and I still manage to learn something new each time. Thanks Laila and Jeremy. We'll be back :)
