What a great road to explore, winding roads, scenic overlooks, quaint towns, hiking trails, surrounded by the ocean! A must go to destination.

A big shout out to Daniel Ross Cabot Trail Biker & PEI Biker of you considering to visit PEI & or Nova Scotia do not hesitate any longer. Giddy up. Visit cabot trail biker .com about for further and trust any of the suggestions therein with great confidence.

Must do’s when in N.S. from a couple who do not have a horse in the race, Peggy’s Cove & Cabot Trail.

When on the trail do not pass the @CoastalRestaurant&pub ( coastal - restaurant . com ) in Ingonish. Plan your departure so you travel through Ingonish after 12 noon as the restaurant doesn’t open till then and you would not want to pass up on the ability to purchase a Cabot Trail Biker T-Shirt, the only place in the world you can purchase the one of a kind shirt and prove you rode the stunning Cabot Trail. Oh yeah, they have fair food & drink.

If you intend to stay in Peggy’s Cove, Halifax do consider staying with Peter & Barbara @ The Breakwater Inn (www . breakwaterinn . ca ). The Breakwater Inn is a mere few hundred feet from the lighthouse - no more convenient to the point with views like no other and or a tasty meal as the Inn serves up lobster rolls from a food truck on their front lawn & if it is a variety of food you seek the inn is only a minutes walk from the only eatery on the point.

When traversing P.E.I. do NOT pass up the BACKWOODS BURGER RESTAURANT ( backwoods - burger - craft-beer - cookhouse . business . site ) Erica serves the tastiest food on all of the island & an assortment of cold beverages, all at a reasonable price. And while at the BACKWOODS BURGER RESTAURANT do not forget to pick up your P.E.I. Biker Shirt & additional P.E.I. biker items - the only place in the world you can purchase the one of a kind shirt and prove you rode beautiful P.E.I.

Keep the shiny side up.

My hubby and I decided to take a day off and go for a drive - a long one. We had a lovely day, stopping at lots of spots and had very nice conversations with the locals all the way up to White Point. We hadn’t eaten - our mistake. We then started back to Hwy 125. Not a spot to eat until Pleasant Bay. Very good food, lovely people. We decided to continue on and have a big meal at the Red Shoe - couldn’t get through the door it was so busy. Mental note to make sure we come back to have a dinner, but start this end of the Trail. We finally had dinner in Baddeck. It was a 13 hour “little” drive. Must do it again.

Thank Linda S

Just finished a two week road trip of the Maritimes and what was likely my 15th time around the Cabot Trail. It's not rated one of the world's best drives without good reason. The scenery is spectacular and the entire trail is dotted with many points of interest, scenic look-offs, quaint villages and various roads leading to many more interesting and beautiful places. The Cabot Trail (and the Cape Breton Highlands National Park) is home to the northern end of the Appalachian mountain range. This time we took the drive into Neil's Harbour, then up to Bay Saint Lawrence where we hiked along the path to the white rock, the most northerly tip of the island. We even made the drive into Meat Cove, the island's most northerly community. The Cabot Trail offers absolutely breathtaking scenery nearly every kilometer of the trip! If you haven't driven it yet you're missing out on one of eastern Canada's best attractions. It's easy to get to and Cape Breton hospitality is second to none.

We enjoy this scenic drive and stopped several times to see the overlooks and the ocean. The trail is beautiful with trees, ocean views, and mountains.
