I love camping here. The campground is clean, facilities are clean. Sites are nice. Great place for kids and families with the beach right there, Shubie park or walks, biking, sightseeing, canoeing. Playground for children. It's not far from town if there's anything you need or want to do off site. Staff are lovely.More

We booked for the weekend but we were unable to stay the whole weekend due to the Hurricane in Sept. 2019. We were a bit dissapointed that you weren't allowed to have a fire past a certain time, which we found to be a bit early. But overall clean amenities and nice campsites. Good location close to downtown Halifax.
Thank you for your note Claire - I'm glad you found our facility clean and quiet and close to the city - as for the 11:00 pm cut off time for campfires, we are a family-friendly campground located in a municipal park hence our quiet time at 11:00. I hope you were able to enjoy your fire until and that we can host you again soon.
The campground is very well located 15 minutes away from downtown Halifax, making it a very convenient spot to camp. It is very close to a cute little beach and forest trails so you can stay close to nature all while having the convenience of the city. The staff was very friendly, the bathrooms were clean and the grounds were nice and quiet. I would definitely camp again!

Had a great visit. Close to town, restaurants, entertainment. The walking trails were amazing. Next time we are renting kayaks! I think we had the best site in the park. Oh yes, the staff were amazing. Friendly, courteous and did I say friendly! Thanks guys we will be back soon!!!

This campground is centrally located and well maintained. Staff/Host was friendly and outgoing and very clean sites and washroom facilities, they offer spacious lots allowing for more enjoyable camping. Would get 5 stars if the price range was more customer friendly and lack of amenities offered (ie. pool, bouncing pillow - these you get at the price range you pay)

Super clean bathroom, friendly, helpfful staff and close to walks along canals, swimming, playground, tennis, a place to rent kayak canoes. We didn't get to try everything on our short visit, but see the potential to stay longer. A cute city campground perfect for car camping.
