I stayed here for 2 nights after 10 days in Halifax. I really wanted peace and quiet so I got the room at the back of the house so no road noise. I only had to open the door to look out the picture window in the dining area on the second floor to enjoy the brilliant view of the bay. Sue took the time to explain what kinds of boats were in the harbour and what they were doing there, she couldn't have been nicer. The breakfast is self serve continental bagels, muffins, cereal, Tropicana juice and a nice twist, a bowl of fresh fruit. Great coffee. Lot's of people stay here to catch the early ferry but I managed to sleep in on a Sunday until 11:00. The location was great for a trip down to Digby Neck and all this for only $65/night. Great deal, great view, great hosts. I will stay here the next time I'm in Digby.

Room tip: The room in the back is very quiet.

Nice location, clean room, beautiful view. We had a bit of trouble locating anyone as our host was out when we arrived but in his defense, we had no reservation. My wife is sensitive to smoke and she struggled with a smoke smell in the room though. We are guessing someone was smoking somewhere else in the house or a previous guest had. Breakfast is without the hosts, self serve, basic, but was all we needed. Not an exceptional bed and breakfast but if all you want is a nice room and a place to rest your head, this is ok Thanks folks!

We stayed at this B and B while traveling through Nova Scotia the summer of 2012 after staying in many B and Bs. There are 3 spacious rooms-2 have beautiful views. There is not a sitting room, but instead is a table for breakfast. The first morning, the guests who were up early to catch the ferry and ate before us, had trash and dirty dishes on the table. When we got up to have breakfast, we did not eat there because the mess had not been cleaned up. There is a lot of traffic noise when the windows are open-and you do want to keep the windows are open for the "ocean breeze." Also-one warning for people with pet allergies: the owners have dogs and cats. Although we were told they weren't in the guest rooms, I did have a problem with my allergies since mine are significant. Host interaction was perfunctory. Also, when we came back at the end of the first day, our bed wasn't made. The blanket was simply pulled up over the pillows. This might seem frivolous, but we thought the hosts could at least make up the bed properly.

Spent one night as it was close to ferry to New Brunswick. The room was large and clean and there was a good view of the bay. However there was no interaction with the hosts, we were unable to connect to the WiFi and no one responded to our knock on the door. After a brief interaction on signing in, the hosts were never seen again. The breakfast was very basic. The experience was not what we had come to expect from B&B's and it was disappointing. It felt more like a modest motel room experience.

We spent four nights at Ocean Breeze and used it as our base of operations for exploring the surrounding area. Our room was large, clean, comfortable and had a great view of the bay, Our hosts were friendly and very helpful. We received a 10% discount at the Pirates Cove whale watch when we mentioned where we were staying and we saw many whales. The breakfast consisted of juice, fruit, cereal, toast, muffins and coffee and was informal. The ferry to St. John is 2 or 3 minutes up the road so on the morning we were leaving, we didn't have to get up at the crack of dawn. One warning: since the three bedrooms open on to the breakfast room, you may hear other guests who are up early to catch the morning ferry. This did not bother us, but it might be an issue for some people,
