Did this tour with some coworkers for a social event and had a good time. Interactive and informative. Andy did a great job! Would do it again. :)
Thank you for attending and for your kind review!
Andy was great. It was entertaining and interesting. He was funny and sarcastic and great with the kids. It had everything from War of 1813, Titanic, Halifax Explosion to dead politicians and prostitutes!! What more could you ask for. Would go again.
Glad you enjoyed our local stories and characters! Please come again!
My friend and I were really pleased we chose to take this tour. First off, you don't have to reserve. Just show up. Prepare for lots of walking. We covered almost all of downtown and sure got our fitness steps done. It's not scary, but rather you hear all of the stories about ghosts and hauntings that are part of Halifax's history. It was a beautiful evening and paced really well from start to finish.
Thanks for coming along and for your kind review. Hope you enjoyed tohis part of the world!
In Andy's defence, this was only my 3rd ghost walk ever, my wife's 4th. Last one was in Lunenburg. Having said that, there was just something about his presentation that we thought could have been better - although what that is exactly we can't pinpoint. This one (as per our past experiences) was very informative and definitely entertaining and in fact we have no complaints. Even the price was right. Just that there seemed to be a little something missing. Everyone present appeared to enjoy it very much, I'd still say give it a try.
Thank you for attending ...
Andy is an awesome storyteller, and was able to engage both young and old! Loved the opportunity to walk through the streets of Halifax at dusk, and get a real feel for the history! Did we see someone up in that window? I'm thinking maybe we did!!!
Ahh ... Thank you for coning along! Glad you enjoyed the evening walk.
And you're not alone in wondering whether someone was up there!
Andy is delightful and knows to tell a good story.
I would have loved to see more cemeteries or definitely more indoor locations, such as an old museum, church, theaters, etc. Adding a little spookiness with an hold handheld lantern would create an appeal to those easily spooked.
The only recommendation I would submit is to ensure with participants that they can participate in the language for the group. Ghost stories require a story telling ability, to pause at the right moments, to use intensity.
This aspect is substantially diminished when translation services are being asked by group participants. Therefore, a tour in either official languages would be best, if at all possible.
Thank you Andy.
Thank you for attending my Ghost Walk and for your kind review ... That particular group's need for translation was a surprise to me and I am sorry for any inconvenience it caused. I felt it as well! Cheers!
