Enjoyed a delicious meal here with some friends in from out of town. Great ambiance to have a drink and enjoy the variety of dishes and flavours. Good from start to finish.

The waiter was really good. The gnocchi was awful. It used to be our go to date night. It wasn't good last night. Half of our party were happy with the food, the other half not happy. My son actually cried he did not like the meal.

In Halifax, all of Craig Flynn’s restaurants (2 doors down, Chives, Temple) are lined up in a row on Barrington and are all superb choices. Creative, beautifully prepared food, that are served up in casually elegant settings. Great for couples, meeting friends, business or family dining. What else can I say? I’ve come back to all repeatedly. Fine dining prices though. Not cheap eats.

We were out looking for food and happened to walk by, the menu caught our eye and we decided to give the place a try. The restaurant was full but there was one table left; the hostess said some large groups had just been seated and that she would get the waitress over to get our order in quickly. I got the lobster risotto and my friend the special of the day oxtail lasagna and it seemed that they came out mere minutes later. Food was delicious! Even the biscuits they give you when seated are quite yummy.

We had a splendid dinner with friends here. The room was mostly full on a Sunday night. Service was professional and not rushed as we enjoyed catching up together after a few months. Almost all the dishes that came were beautiful to see and to eat. I would not recommend the cajun oysters, neither crispy, not especially cajun and just 3 small bites. My beef was two slices, boneless, perfectly pink in the center and tender. The halibut, scallops and salads were all beautiful. Attractive vegetables came with the entrees. As an aside, the menu is short on salads.
Highly recommended.
