Arrived at Noon and able to checked in right the way. Very happy about that and my two teens were able to enjoy our loft unit for a bit before heading to the ski hill. We rented the gears from the shop and rec'd the ski pass from the front desk when we checked in. Overall the loft unit was great for all 4 of us. It has the open concept bath tube/Shower on the 2nd floor with the king bed. We let our kids to sleep upstairs and we slept on the sofa bed on the main floor. Plenty of space for all 4 of us and we did enjoy our weekend trip.

Beware of hidden charges $29.99 per room per day of "RAF: Resort activity fees"
When I asked at the desk what I got for the fee, the director of the resort told me the driveway was plowed and "other stuff it says on the website"
Website and pamphlets are inaccurate, we planned to eat at the steakhouse restaurant and found out when we arrived that is only open of Friday and Saturday, despite the info saying it was open every day?
Poor show overall

Hi JKM007JKM, thank you for taking the time to post a review. We are disappointed to hear that your experience did not meet your expectations and apologize for your dissatisfaction. The resort fee is mentioned when booking online and over the phone, as we strive to be fully transparent with our rates. The Inn Steakhouse is open daily for breakfast and open Tuesday to Saturday for dinner. There are certain times of the year that it is open daily for dinner, such as the Christmas holidays and March Break. We update our website and the Resort Guide to reflect these changes as necessary. We hope that you will consider returning to the resort in the future.

Sincerely,
Jonathan Reid, General Manager

We went tubing at Horseshoe on a Friday afternoon, and had a great time. Slightly disappointing that the computer system went down just as we arrived, so we couldn't pay with debit/credit or get unlimited passes - so we got 5 rides, since we had some cash. Other than that, it was a lot of fun! The girls working on the hill were very energetic and always smiling - clearly they enjoy and have fun with their job!! The weather was beautiful, which made out 5 rides go super fast, because we were having such a great time. Luckily we got there around 2:30pm so all the school groups were leaving, so the hill wasn't crazy busy - so definitely suggest going later afternoon on a weekday! Would love to return!!

Hi countrytraveller123, thank you very much for the review! Please accept our sincere apologies in regards to the computer system going down upon your arrival at the tack shop. We are glad that you were still able to get out there and enjoy the newly expanded tubing hill though! We will definitely pass your comments about the tubing staff on to management. It's always great to hear feedback like this, as our team prides themselves on offering the ultimate guest experience. We look forward to welcoming you back soon!

Overall everything is ok; however, everything is a bit pricey for what you get.

CONS:This time that we went the power was down, so we couldn't ski, still were charged for our lift pass that day. we also weren't offered any future discounts or discounts on food or anything to accommodate the inconvenience. Luckily our room had heat (some didn't).
Room wasn't cleaned timely the next day (came back from skiing about 4pm room hadn't been cleaned, they showed up so we had to wait for it to be completed).
Ski school took my child down one run then they asked all the kids who wanted to go inside and colour, my child and one other wanted to. I didn't pay for babysitting (ski school/Horseshoe camp is PRICEY) for that, I was quite disappointed. Plus they don't offer up any kind of report on how they did (did he at least colour well...?)

PROS: It is a good family ski hill, and there are enough runs for beginner or novice skiers so everyone can participate
Rooms are clean/updated, food is not inexpensive but good, lots of options for families.

Hi meganwQ3035RU, thank you for taking the time to post a review. We appreciate all of your feedback and will share your comments amongst the team. We apologize for the inconvenience that the power outage caused. It was certainly unexpected and our team did their best to resolve the issue. Several team members were distributing complimentary lift tickets to all guests as a good will gesture. Perhaps you had already headed back to your room at this point. We will send you a private message to arrange something for you.

Sincerely,

We had a fun 2 day stay with another family. Resort was regularly maintained (fire pits stoked/pool was warm...) ski hill was in great condition even though temps reached 3c.
Snow tubing always fun although slightly under staffed this time.
We will return for the fourth time soon.
