A tranquil, beautiful and indulgent oasis with 2 of the most welcoming of hosts. Thank you Michael and Zenga.

My wife and I went to Sangoma as part of our 10th wedding anniversary celebration. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there. Michael and Zenga went out of their way to make us feel welcome, without being over-the-top…their hospitality was sincere. It was like staying with good friends or family without the intrusion. The food was unbelievable - lots of it; breakfast was sensational, particularly the home-made cereal! The pets were also really friendly - Punda made us feel really welcome, and the cats certainly entertained us. The history of the site was really interesting too - Michael and Zegna showed us how much Australia has changed for the better. We’ll be back…with friends or ourselves. Thanks again Zenga and Michael!

Room Tip: All rooms (suites) were excellent.

What a coup!
Sangoma has real life changing kahuna massage, rather than the typical day spa light, silly massage found in every beautiful hotel around the world. And it's not just any kahuna......Jay is the big kahuna!!!
What a powerful, beautiful, incredible, empathic woman. Even my novice partner found it cathartic.
This is no ordinary massage.
Part dance, song, sacred ritual and profound bodywork.
You will feel changed.... And as if sangoma wasn't perfect enough!

Back at Sangoma & stayed in the new Chief's Suite. One word only - BEAUTIFUL. Your own little retreat, inside a retreat. The new Chief's Suite has its own plunge pool & the extra space allows you to escape even further. As always, Michael & Zenga are wonderful hosts and the food is first class all the way. The new massage on offer is amazing. I had never heard of Ka-Huna massage before but I can truly say it was an experience not to be forgotten. If you haven't been before, Sangoma is a special way to treat yourself & your partner to a luxurious weekend away so close to Sydney.

Room Tip: All rooms face east, with views towards the city. Staying for New Year's Eve gives distant view...

We had such a wonderful time in September at Sangoma that I had to return.
We organised a family weekend and booked out all the rooms.
I stayed in the new chiefs Suite - which was amazing.
But it makes no difference which room you are in as they are all magnificent.
All the ladies had the new Kahuna massage and it was the most wonderful experience.
Very relaxing and intimate and we all could not stop talking about it afterwards. The food was superb as usual and I had my white chocolate with turkish delight and pistachio rocky road chocolate.
Cant wait to go back again.

Room Tip: All rooms are excellent - makes no difference which one you are in

Michael and Zenga have created the most wonderful retreat a haven of peace and tranquility where you can be surrounded by nature and stay in gorgeous suites all so beautifully done with elegance and a tasteful quirkiness that is truly original. The food is so delicious and they are immaculate hosts, the massage is fantastic, the view out of this world, and the complaint would be that It was very very hard to leave on Sunday! Hoe to be back soon.

The great thing about Sangoma is that it is only a short drive away from the city (highly recommend to take the Friday off, to have a relaxing drive up to reach at 3pm as a night drive is a bit dark). From the moment we arrived (we arrived late as I was caught at work - what is new), Michael and Zenga had put food aside for us to have as late supper on our balcony overlooking the vast landscape of darkness dotted with the city lights. The pool suite is amazing, closest to the pool and the largest (so I hear) of the three with a wonderful 4 poster bed that has a great view of the sunrise every morning.

The main house has an amazing design aesthetic with an Australian structure but African inspired interior. All the furniture in the main house and suites are amazing, especially if you have the appreciation for it.Punda, Griffin and Chaka make the place homelier (but are very well-trained pets). Breakfast was in the dining area, and although you do mingle with the other 2 couples at your own pace, you eat in your little twosome cocoon. All the foods are incredible, locally sourced - if one is lucky, you might become a guinea pig to Zenga's ideas for the day.

Massage in the afternoon on the balcony is the perfect relaxation activity for the afternoon, followed by some lounging by the pool. We were very fortunate to have excellent weather throughout the weekend. I could go on, and on. But, in short, it is great for a couple's weekend away to relax and get away from the city but instead of going to a sterile hotel, you are welcomed into the home of Michael and Zenga who treat you like old friends.

If you have multiple requirements or dietary needs or wish to be more private (more private than having 2 other couples), then this is probably not the place for you. They are booked out for the next few months, so best to plan early! It will be worth every penny!

Room Tip: Pool suit is largest and closest to the pool. They are building a 4th suite which will be larger and...
