Hthe Fireside room, located on the ground floor is near the main entrance yet even with every room occupied, the house is sound proof. Full breakfast served in the dining also accommodates dietary requests.

We booked this room via the internet and always had immediate response with emphasis on catering to our wants and needs. This hospitality continued during our stay in this lovely home. Melanie is a gracious hostess with a wonderful knowledge of the area and of genealogy. There are magazines, books, maps along with a grand selection of teas and drink in the beautiful common area. We had a lovely breakfast with delightful conversations with other guests and our hostess. Our room, the Leeside room was large with everything we needed to make our stay enjoyable....our washroom was down the hall but was large and with absolutely everything one would want or need. Surprisingly this unattached bathroom was not an inconvenience but rather a novelty. There is also a common area with a kitchen on the third floor. This B&B offers everything and we will definitely be back!

Lovely! The property is beautiful, quiet, across the road from a delightful city park. Melanie and Andy were excellent hosts. They have considered every detail in making your stay comfortable and welcoming. Lots of choice for breakfast, homemade and delicious additions like muffins, oat cakes, granola, preserves. Will definitely return!

Husband and I visited relatives in Guelph and stayed here three nights. We had the Fireside room. The bath has been updated with lovely shower, tastefully done. The room was quite comfortable overall. We met fellow travelers at the breakfast table, enjoyed good food and interesting conversation. The house was very quiet...it almost felt to us like we were the only ones there. Our hosts were lovely people, accommodating and kind. We enjoyed reading the newspaper in the living room and having a nice cup of tea from the well stocked buffet. Really, it was warm and inviting...so much better than a hotel!

Room Tip: You have to go up steps to get into the house, but Fireside is on main floor and better for older folks.

I stayed here for 2 nights during a recent business trip. The house is very conveniently located, across from a large park, surrounded by other large historic homes and in walking distance from Guelph's lovely downtown restaurants. I chose the Trade Winds room because of the ensuite bath tub. The room was spacious, very comfortable and with many amenities. It was quiet and felt like a private oasis. Breakfast includes a selection of continental items, featuring local and often organic ingredients. The host also offered to cook up eggs for a full hot breakfast. It was a lovely peaceful stay and I would recommend it - especially the location.
