We went to Rapscallion for a family members birthday and REALLY enjoyed the experience. We ordered a bunch of different sharing dishes (7), a bottle of wine, and each had a dessert for about $220 which was really reasonably priced. The waitress was great (she had a lot of tables and we didn’t wait) and she was 100% right when she told us the Grilled cheese and chicken liver brûlée CANNOT be missed. The Big Mac arancini, Steak tartare, and Pig ear poutine were also great. The ONLY complaint was that it was a bit smoky in the restaurant which bugged my eyes. We’d go back because they change their menu often, I’d like to see what other dishes this amazing Chef can come up with!

The service is always excellent and the timing of each course is spot on! We love dinning here, especially for special occasions! We didn't take any pictures of the food this time but it's always yummy and pretty too

We had Charcuterie board, Big Mac Arancini, halloumi tiki masala, firecracker shrimp, creamed corn, turducken wings, just for the Halliburton, pork belly steamed buns, Jeremiah was a bullfrog. Everything was fantastic, make a reservation. Really a 10/10, Will be back.

Don't be misled by the title, there is a complete lack of great restos in the hammer and nothing compared to the best in Toronto. That having been said, the food at rapscallion is good, but not great, service limited to a single person for some 10 tables. And the decor is bar/pub/greasy spoon, politely called 'casual', with an open kitchen that you don't want to be seated too close to. The washrooms are clean and adequate.

The food is not as great as some here would like to allude to, small portions 'disguised' as tapas size (a quarter size of a normal dish). And priced as a 'regular' sized dish. Here, to read 'expensive', so poor value.

The food itself is not outstanding. The chicken liver brulee, a simple chicken liver pate; the venison pie, a goulash of a miniscule amount of deer meat, in mashed potatoes layered into the small soup sized bowl; beef cheeks was nice and tender, but on some overcooked lasagne filler, topped with some mini paper clip sized fries; the bone marrow had too large bones with very little marrow; and finally the firecracker shrimps smelled fishy, with less than fresh shrimps with pasta. The house wines ranged from $10 to $15 a glass, rather overpriced. No refill on pop.

No fresh foie gras, only pates. Not really spanish tapas, nor pintxos sized, just a raise in prices, for smaller plates.

Kitchen rhythm with dishes served needs work. Too bad, for the hammer.
