This small place on James street in downtown Hamilton was just what we needed for a late Friday lunch as we rolled into town. The street was buzzing with people and the restaurant was full. Nothing fancy, just dozen of whole chickens roasting over the open grill, served with rice or fries and a salad. The chicken was so juicy and well made that we didn’t really need anything else ... quick and delicious !!

Visited here twice recently. First with the husband only then a few weeks later with the kids.

Busy little restaurant worthy of all the accolades shared previously.

Depending when you go there may be a wait but don't fret, on both occasions it was not long and they give you a gadget to let you know when they are ready or will call your cell. In fact on our last visit they moved tables for us.

Atmosphere is casual and comfortable. Seating is a little tight so be prepared to sit close to your neighbour.

Menu is simple and every dish is done right. It all centers around the rotisserie chicken. First visit I had the salad with chicken added... second visit; whole chicken (they cut into pieces for serving) with sides to be shared.

Staff are friendly and attentive. They don't have time to hound you :)

Beer selections are good and most wine offerings are local to Southern Ontario.

We didn't try any desserts but they looked good.

Fantastic value and highly recommended.

Note they are located in the bustling James Street North area and like most vendors do not have a parking lot. You need to park at a meter or on a side street. The area is fantastic with amazing atmosphere do you won't mind a short walk.

Go on the second Friday of the month and experience the Art Crawl scene while you are there.

As a person who enjoys Swiss Chalet, this is one step better. You can see the hot coals as you enter the restaurant. The menu is simple - chicken, poutine, salad, or a sandwich. We tried the sandwich and the chicken with a side salad. We enjoyed the latter the most - the salad was crisp and delicious. If you like spice with your chicken, they have that too.
Enjoy! Great for a family night out.

My friend and I craved some chicken, so on our monthly outing, I recommended this favorite place of mine. They serve the best chicken, cooked over charcoal on a spit. The two of us started with their home made chicken soup and ordered the whole chicken, enough for four people, which also came with three sides, we chose Rost potatoes, butter rice and a Caesar salad. We indulged to over filling out tummies. It was so juicy and cooked to perfection.if anyone that reads this likes chicken then don't hesitate to come and try it. Service was prompt, server came over several times to check in on us. He was very friendly. I will be back over and over. One of my top restaurant to go to.

This is the place for BBQ chicken. It is prepared rotisserie-style and the flavour is spectacular. Get a half chicken with salad or fries, chicken sandwich or whatever you like chicken. Highly recommend.
