My spouse and I stayed at the Visitors Inn in Hamilton for three nights, and though the room itself was clean and comfortable, and the building very quiet, our stay was punctuated by staff who treated us with rudeness or disinterest - from the front desk staff, to the restaurant staff. During the continental breakfast (which won't be continuing after Nov. 1st) the woman who served the breakfast was passive aggressive and even at one point was complaining audibly to someone in the kitchen about a customer who she had served the previous day, boasting of how she put the person in their place. Us and two other people left our meals as they were and walked out.
Any questions or queries were met with rudeness, sullenness and with an air of inconvenience by a member of front desk staff, multiple times. When we asked a question regarding the billing his response was sharp, and full of attitude and condescension. And over the phone, when we had called to enquire about what time house-keeping come through our floor, the gentleman at the front desk said, "I don't know what to tell you! They come by when they come by!"
Paid good money for sub par service - we have received better care and service from staff at cheaper hotels, with less stars, and a continental breakfast much the same. Not worth it.
