This location was right in the heart of Kingston. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Great waterfront view, comfy rooms, and excellent service in both the hotel and restaurant/bar. Rooms were clean, staff was friendly and very helpful, even the parking lot attendants, well done!! Nice to get excellent service in an urban setting.

Hello from Kingston. Due to our location we do sometimes experience things like you mentioned after heavy rain, this normally passes very quickly. I hope this did not detract from your overall enjoyment.

The hotel is built on a pier that extends into Kingston Harbor. We stayed in a corner suite on the third floor with windows facing south west and south east. If you’re a boat watcher, you might want to stay in a corner suite on the other side of the building, but we still had great views of Lake Ontario and much of the activity in the harbor. Although now part of the Marriott chain, this hotel has a distinct personality. It’s very clean, fairly quiet, but not sterile. I think the “homey” feel comes from the staff. There are very knowledgeable and helpful to travelers who want to see and do things around Kingston. By the way, we found this to be a great town to visit for fun things to do, and great food.
As hotel beds go, ours was fairly comfortable with a good selection of pillows. Bathroom fixtures and amenities were all as advertised. We really enjoyed access to early morning coffee to-go at the bar. Speaking of the bar, they have a great selection of draft beer and specialty cocktails along with a friendly bartender to serve them.
If you are arriving by car, you’ll need to park in the hotel parking ramp. The good news is, this is very convenient and uses your room key for exit and re-entry. The bad news is, it’s $22 CAD per day. There really is no other good choice.
Location, location, location. It’s perfect. Step out onto the street and you’re only steps away from Waterfront Pathway, Confederation Park, and more cafes and shops than you can count. We will definitely be back.

Room Tip: Best view of the harbor are rooms on the north east side of the building

The hotel rooms are not outstanding but they are pretty good - spacious, including the bathroom, and fairly well equipped. All rooms boast lake views, and ours was particularly nice. Undercover parking was convenient and easy as long as you don’t have a full size SUV, but does cost CAD 22 per day.
Easy walking distance to shops, restaurants etc was also a plus.
On site restaurant, Aqua Terra, although a little pricey for dinner, was very good.
Breakfast in the same restaurant was very good.

When we arrived, we were greeted by the parking lot attendant Kyle, he was very helpful and he directed us to a vacant parking spot which was very close to the door. He got a luggage cart and helped us unload the vehicle and brought all of our luggage to the room. Very pleasant.

Check is was quick. The room had a view of the marina and it was clean, quiet, modern and spacious.

The hotel is within walking distance to the 1000 Island Cruise dock and many restaurants and bars.

We enjoyed a couple of beverages during Happy Hour in the Vu lounge.

Overall very pleased with the hotel.
