My two friends and I travelled by kayak up from Kingston and arrived at the Rideau Rendezvous in late afternoon. Laura greeted us with a friendly wave from up on their lookout and Bob was there to help us from their dock. What a spectacular place and what lovely people!

After helping us get our kayaks up on the dock and our gear up to the house, Bob and Laura showed us to our wonderful rooms. They were spacious, quiet and clean and those beds ended up being as comfortable as they looked! The large, private bathroom with walk-in shower made me feel rather sorry for the campers roughing it along the locks...and very grateful for this 50th birthday present!

Bob and Laura couldn't have been more gracious, allowing my husband to meet us at the B&B in order to cook dinner for us down on the dock. When a sudden deluge of rain sidelined that plan, they shooed us into their lovely home and set us up in their dining room.

The next morning's breakfast was heavenly! Along with delicious coffee, fresh fruit was served in antique tea cups on saucers followed by home-cured back bacon, home fries (with added sweet potatoes), sautéed veggies and Laura's fabulous French toast with chocolate hazelnut spread in the middle. Needless to say, we were more than set for the next leg of our journey!

I would recommend Rideau Rendezvous to anyone looking for a lovely and quiet getaway - especially those of you who love kayaking but who are less keen on the camping!

Thank you Laura and Bob!!

We just returned from a stay at Rideau Rendezvous. To say this place is the best place to stay at in Kingston is an understatement.

From the friendly reception that Florence gave us, to the spectacular views, to the DELICIOUS breakfast, to the ultra cozy bed and well decorated room...Rideau Rendezvous cannot be topped. All of the personal touches throughout the room and the home have us waiting another opportunity to visit again (and again!).

We were here for two days with 2 adults and one child (11 year). Bob and Laura are wonderful people and they give you a complete holiday feeling. A beautiful spot near the water, where you can fish and swim. You can maken (free) use of the BBQ, canoe and kayak. Wonderful rooms and very clean. The breakfast is 5 star worthy. I can recommend this BB to anyone.

Decided at the last minute to quit the road to Montreal and were we glad we did!
Florence took our call late Saturday night and assured us of a room, the Cottage Room. She is not a regular staff member at RR, but was helping out the owners while they were out of town. One would never know this was her first attempt at running a B & B. She is full of life and a beautiful spirit. Her crepes were heavenly, as she hails from France. The whole meal was awesome, made even better by the company of a young French family of four.
The property is amazing, delights for the eye inside and out. It backs onto the Rideau Canal, with many areas to relax out of doors. You will not be disappointed here, except for maybe Florence not being there...

Room Tip: Several Tom Thomson numbered prints in the Cottage Room!

We are a young couple from Toronto and were looking for a nice, quite getaway not overly far from the city. When we arrived at the Rideau Rendezvous Laura met us and immediately showed us the beautiful property and helped us to our spacious room.

The breakfasts were outstanding and the setting can't be beat. Bob and Laura are fantastic hosts and ensured we were well fed, the house was clean and our every need was taken care of.

We highly recommend the Rideau Renedzvous and the Seeley's Bay area as it is very close to biking/hiking trails, 1000 Islands boat cruises and a number of other activities for adults and kids. The location and property was just perfect, and we couldn't be happier.
