I spent a night at this boutique hotel and I really loved the place; the room was very clean, quite, spacious and very well decorated and the staff were super nice and helpful.
I only had one issue with this hotel; the in room dining service time is very very limited, with very small options.
I had to starve myself to sleep that night.

I highly recommend this hotel, worths every penny.

I booked a room here for New Year's Eve with my fiancé in one of the "king loft suites". We had no problem finding the hotel, it's literally right next to the market and you can see the hotel's bright purple overhang from a mile away. We had paid to park in a lot about a block away, but switched to the parking under the market (as the front desk staff suggested that's a better spot - and didn't end up charging us at checkout). Upon check-in, we were told there was a "surprise" for us in our room, and "if we didn't like the colour, we could bring it down and switch it". We opened the door to our room (407), there was a bottle of red wine, a feather boa and a "happy New Years" hat along with a tag saying happy New Years from the staff at hotel metro. The room looked absolutely beautiful in pictures, and in person it was a million times better. Modern furniture, a brick accent wall behind the king size bed, a HUGE window and the best part was the very deep tub in the open concept room. We went to dinner at the keg and out for some drinks. When we got back, my fiancé had asked the girl at the front desk for some Epsom salts for our bath. She couldn't figure out how to put them through the computer so she brought them up to our room and didn't end up charging us. The staff there are so friendly and accommodating, they helped us look up breakfast places that were open on New Year's Day.

After a particularly crappy 2016 (my fiancé getting laid off, having surgery on his spine), this place made our New Year's Eve so incredibly special -- a wonderful experience here! If you like to try places away from your "average hotel", I would definitely recommend hotel metro - plus the location is within walking distance to almost everything and there's a little ice

The *only* thing that I wasn't fond of were the pillows (a little too firm for me) and the "men's cologne" scent on our floor (but I'm not sure if someone staying there went a little cologne-happy or if the hotel uses a spray).
*ALSO, the tub/ shower are open to the room (no door), so don't stay here with someone you aren't comfortable being naked in front of ;-) *

Stayed here for one night. Chose this hotel for its location ( close to Micheal's On The Thames ) where we were attending a wedding. Staff was very friendly, rooms exactly as pictured and described. The pillows were a little too firm for my liking but certainly not a deal breaker.

I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting this area. Note it was an open concept room so be sure your traveling with a partner who likes that sort of environment.

Parking is at the Market next door, with convenient, drop off, loading/unloading right at hotel main entrance.

We recently stayed at Hotel Metro for the first time.

We really liked the styling of the Hotel, the parking was convenient, the location central, staff was friendly and helpful. Local eateries – The Early Bird and Blu Duby were both good recommendations from the Hotel.

When booking I primarily had concerns about traffic noise on Dundas – the main strip, but was assured that this would not be an issue. However at 7 a.m. the construction noise of a large project across the street became an earlier morning rude awakening which was needless to say, disappointing. We did mention this to front desk on departure and management followed up regarding our concerns with a credit on a portion of the bill. Much appreciated.

Besides the construction issue across the street, there were some other concerns we expressed which may be of benefit to management to consider:

1. Feather pillows as an option, or at the very least a softer, less thick / stiff, poly version than the ones currently offered. Requested, but not available. They made for an uncomfortable sleep.

2. Although we were assured the sink in our room wasn't plugged, it behaved as though it was, which made all sink functions from shaving, washing or brushing your teeth a concerning act of patience.

3. Thirdly, while the room was spacious, well appointed in contemporary and had that lovely urban loft feel we like, the complete open concept presents some real challenges. Having the lights, sink, mirror, tub and shower openly exposed to the sleeping area creates logistical issues, if one is an early riser( and the other isn't ). While I get the romantic idea of the design / layout, it fails the necessary privacy and practical side of invasiveness for someone sleeping.

I understand the last point isn't easily addressed, but at the very least a drape might provide less disruption.

I think this boutique hotel has something very unique to offer London visitors, and with a few tweaks it could really improve the guest experience. We understand the Fanshawe construction project across the street is somewhat out of their control, but good to know about in advance. Maybe a booking on the other side of the hotel would suit better.

Stayed one night and would stay again for sure.
It's a great little hotel. Lots of character in the room and very well decorated.
Lots of amenities including fluffy terri house coats. It offered a huge walk in shower and a separate deep comfortable tub. There was a Kurig coffee maker with a great selection of complimentary coffee and tea.. Everything was sparkling clean.
Perfect location in the middle of downtown.
Great choice and will for sure stay again

Metro Hotel is a small boutique hotel in the heart of downtown London, Ontario. Our room was large and well appointed. Would have liked a wall shower as well as a rain shower but that is just personal preference. Bath is lovely and bed really comfortable. The only thing I didn't like about the room was the sheet / duvet situation. Duvet had no cover and was encased in two sheets. From a hygiene perspective this is great as I know they wash the actual duvet after each guest. However, from a comfort perspective it is just plain annoying as the sheets inevitably get out of place and end up all over the place.
The hotel has a restaurant on the ground floor which we had a really good meal in - everything was delicious, the service was good and there was a nice atmosphere. This hotel is in a great location for exploring Covent Garden Market and some of the other lovely restaurants and cafes along King Street. I would recommend.

We stayed here for one night and enjoyed our stay, The hotel is located in a great location, near the market, and central to restaurants. Overall we would come back, but we have some recommendations:
- the person working at the desk was away for quite some time, and there was a note saying be back soon. We noticed this twice, so unsure if they have a staffing problems, but around 1pm when people check in, there should be someone at the desk.
- The Wifi was okay, but not fast. Beef that sucker up!
- Since the beds were quite some distance from the TV, we would recommend a larger TV, as it was kind of hard to see across the room.

- we would definitely would come back, as the price was good, location was great, and the rooms were nicely decorated.

Room Tip: Nice place to relax, and see the city attractions
