Our experience here was fantastic. The restaurant was not too busy for a Friday night so we were able to get a table by the window overlooking the street. No less than three people, including the owner, came by to ask if we wanted the drapes drawn because of the setting sun. The attention to that little detail was indicative of the service we received throughout our dinner.
The food was fantastic. We split a small appetizer, my partner enjoyed the salmon special of the day and I had the spicy lobster and shrimp fettuccine which was not too spicy but had a nice hint of heat.
The wine list is extensive and when I mentioned that I enjoy a good scotch he offered to get me their scotch list consisting of 23 varieties of single malt. I'll be back another time for that!
Our server David was very friendly, not intrusive and was very knowledgeable about the specials and the menu in general. When we asked for the bill we mentioned that it was our first time at the restaurant. David must have told the owner because he came over and introduced himself and stayed and chatted while the server prepared the bill.
Overall, a great experience and we will be back.

I wanted to take the wife out to a nice Italian restaurant, and found just that! It was incredibly busy, and very loud but I am assuming (and when asked was also told by waiter) it is not normally that crazy. Food was good! Unfortunately they ran out of the rib eye special but I did order around 9:30 pm and it ended up not being a problem because it made me venture off to another type of meal I would not normally try.

Overall good food, good wine, and great service!

Thank Dave B

My first time ever eating at La Casa. We went for dinner on Valentine's day, good thing I had made advance reservations, the place was completely booked. The food was good and the staff were friendly. We would not hesitate to return.

We visited La Casa tonight for the first and last time. We were celebrating our anniversary. We had reservations and arrived a few minutes early. The hostess was pleasant and took my husbands crutches (he had fractured his hip) to a safe spot in a corner near our table. The first irratating thing for me was the chair seat was so high My feet couldn't touch the floor despite wearing boots with a 2" heel. I don't fault the restaurant for this as I run into it often but it is very uncomfortable to sit much longer than half hour, enough for me not to return. Our waiter, Tibor, arrived and announced the specials and took our wine order. While reviewing the menu it became apparent that my husband and I had two different menus. When Tibor returned I suggested he might want to update mine with the latest menu and pricing. He didn't even say thank you, no sense of humour! Since I don't eat wheat my husband asked about the appetizers and were any wheat free? Tibor said "no" and that there was ample choices and after all, we were in an Italian restaurant. We decided to pass on the appetizer and ordered the Beef tenderloin done medium rare for myself and my husband ordered Lasagna Alforno. When our order came I cut into my steak and the first bite was medium well to well done, not a sign of pink, very disappointing. Since Tibor didn't return to ask how everything was I cut through the middle of the steak and it was medium but definitely not medium/rare. The garlic mashed potatoes had no hint of garlic that I could taste. The steak was tender and flavourful, asparagus cooked perfectly and the portobello okay. My husband said his lasagna was good but nothing special and not as good as what we make at home. Tibor never once returned to ask how our meal was and so when he placed the dessert menus on the table we said "no" (earlier in the evening we had mentioned splitting a dessert). We are still shocked at the fact that Tibor never returned to ask how our meal was. We had a gift certificate and were so disappointed in the service that we only tipped on what we had to pay. Normally my husband is a reasonable tipper and would have definitely tipped on the total amount of the bill. The hostess was an exception and returned twice to fill our water glasses and was very pleasant! She should look for a better place to work! We both agree that we will never return, nor will we try the Black Trumpet, owned by the same people. I would not recommend La Casa on King Street, London based on the service we received. It was also very noisy in the restaurant and we couldn't have normal dinner conversation.

We went for lunch and were the only table there, which made for great service! We all loved our meals and the special was delicious! I hadn't been in years, but the food was as good as ever! Great, quiet atmosphere at lunch for a business meeting.
