One of only a few reasonably priced hotels in London. Breakfast included. Convenient location for what we had planned around the hotel stay

Unfortunately the affordability of this hotel is what makes it appealing. However, not appealing enough for me to stay here again. Ever. We had booked this hotel after planning a day out in London for a child's birthday party. Thinking a hotel stay would be fun for the kids (we are from outside of London) We checked in quickly and easily and then headed out for our party at the Factory. The pictures of the "suite" we had booked were misleading and incorrect. Pictures on this site showed the suite as two separate rooms. Bedroom with TV in one room, couch with TV in the other. This is why we booked the hotel. We had children with us and they liked the idea of having their own "room". When we got to our room it was just one space. Bed with a couch. Disappointing. I was very disappointed with the service in this hotel. We got to our room just before bed time. The toilet in our room was clogged. We tried to call the front desk but the phones didn't work. When we walked down to the front desk I requested for someone to come to our room to help with the issue. I was told by the front desk staff that he was the only person working and he can't do that. He told me he could give me a plunger and I could do it myself. Well the plunger was broken. We were unable to fix the toilet. Having 3 children with us, this caused a major inconvenience as we had to go down to use the lobby bathroom every time. The faucet in the tub was dripping constantly. The hotel was sold out so we didn't bother asking to change rooms. We turned on the heater and it smelled like burning hair. Thinking it was likely the first time it had been turned on in a while, we let it go. However the smell did not go away. Even after an hour. Heat was then kept off. The pool - in need of quite a bit of attention. Again, the pictures posted of the pool are quite misleading. It is very small. There was garbage, hair and other stuff floating in the pool.

Staff very friendly. Clean towels each day. Breakfast was well presented & hot breakfast changed each day. We enjoyed our stay & have recommended the hotel to 2 couples for their hospital stay as it is close to the hospital. You are able to walk & save parking fee.

Room Tip: Our room had cupboards, sink, table & chairs, microwave & refrigerator.

We went to London to attend the Air Show so we didn't intend to spend a lot of time at the hotel. I didn't even see the pool but the daily breakfast was the standard fare (bagels, toast, eggs, sausages one day, ham the next, fresh fruit salad, yogurt, cereal and fresh, make your own waffles.
Room was nice, beds comfortable, well kept and quiet. Proximity to central London and Victoria hospital would be a big plus for lots of folks.
Plentiful free parking and the usual Country Inn cookies in the lobby.

Room Tip: Our 4th fl room was very quiet. We hardly knew there were other guests.
