This is my 2nd time coming to this Pho restaurant. Having eaten at many Pho restaurants in California and other places, this place really stands out.
The biggest indicator? The cleanliness. I have never been to a Vietnamese Pho restaurant where the place was brightly lit and immaculately kept. The floors are not sticky and do not have a slippery feel. Even the restrooms were clean!
The authenticity of the food is also shown through the patrons. Most are Vietnamese families, and the restaurant is run by a Vietnamese family.
I ordered a small Pho bowl with tendon and brisket. The broth was clear, and had a nice earthy, aromatic flavor. It was not salty at all, and with the addition of lime and bean sprouts, the flavors melded together very nicely. The cuts of beef were lean and tender, and did not leave an after taste that is found common in old beef. The spring rolls were lightly deep fried and had just the right amount of filling to pepper ratio. It didn't even need the fish sauce that came with it!
Service was quick and friendly, and for a full meal under $10? This can't be beat. It's a must try!
