“Great falls view and good/expected marriott service”
Reviewed 14 April 2012

The hotel and rooms were clean and was what I expected from Marriott. We stay with them a lot and this hotel was great for the price. Service was good-no problems with anything. We had a perfect falls view room-so close to the falls! The hotel was quiet and perfect for my husband and I - I didn't notice much for kids in the hotel. From the hotel you can walk to all the area attractions. Downside-if you are driving, check the current parking prices. You have to pay to park at the Marriott and it was VERY expensive.

Room Tip: Fallsview is worth it!

My husband and I went up to the Falls for one night, to finally see Niagara Falls from the Canadian side. We couldn't have chosen a better hotel from which to enjoy the falls - every room faces the falls with ceiling to almost-floor windows. Absolutely beautiful. As per Marriott hotels everywhere, the bed was extremely comfortable, nice sized bathroom, plenty of room all around. We ate at their restaurant, Terrapin Grille - good food, but a little pricey. We had a $75 voucher which helped keep the cost in check - again, the view of the falls from the restaurant was worth it, but there are other restaurants in the area with a view as well. Breakfast buffet, also included in our room rate, was excellent. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

We just got back from 3 days at the Marriott Niagara Falls Fallsview Hotel. We had a Family Suite which consisted of a large bedroom with 2 queen beds and a smaller living area with a pull out couch. The view from the living room was spectacular. We were on the 10th floor and we spent a great deal of time during the day and evenings looking at the falls. We had a wonderful view of both the Horseshoe and American Falls and watched as they changed colors while being illuminated at night. This is one of the experiences that will stick with us the rest of our lives.

The hotel was quite nice and our room was very clean. However, it charges for everything. Go to the lobby with your laptop and you can avoid the $9.95 daily internet fee. The valet parking is up to $25.00/day. I booked a hotel package through Marriott Rewards which included breakfast for 2 every morning and a $75 dinner voucher that pays for one person's dinner at the Terrapin Grill. Nevertheless, we were prepared to open our wallets to stay here and the view is well worth it.

Why the 4-star review? Asking for information at the lobby Information Desk was akin to being invited for a "short seminar about a time-share opportunity". We went for information on when the Maid of the Mist runs and how to get around town and we got the 5-minute "you must take our tour for $95 per person today". Even after we told her we were not interested in purchasing the tour, she continued pressuring us! We went down to the Information Center at Table Rock (take the tramway down the hill for $2.50) and did the Journey Behind the falls. We discovered that for $10/person we could use the Bus System (called the People Mover) for the entire day. We enjoyed the Maid of the Mist and the Butterfly Conservatory and spend a great deal less per person than what she was insisting we purchase. I would have loved if the Marriott had a real Concierge not affiliated with any tour company to help their customers.

We stayed at this hotel in early March. Our fallsview room was on the 11th floor, and we enjoyed the view very much! Our package came with some credits to spend at the steak house in the hotel, so we had dinner there. The food was good, but nothing too memorable, and it's a bit overpriced. The breakfast buffet was good with both cold/hot options, and you can make your own omelet! We used the hotel pool and spa too, which was nice too. The staff at the front desk was helpful and efficient. Overall, we had a great time there!

We have stayed at this hotel a number of times, when owned by the Sheridan. The hotel is still really nice, however there are a number of renovations. For 100 dollars including a 25 dollar dinner voucher, breakfast and a wine tour you can't beat the price.
