“Fantastic place, lovely views, good service”
Reviewed 26 February 2012

Very nice and clean hotel, friendly staff. We booked on a groupon deal so the package was very attractive too. we had booked a Cityview room but we were given a free upgrade to Falls View and the check-in gal was so apologetic that she could not find a higher floor room for us.

The room was very clean and as per expectations, Falls view is fantastic - both Horseshoe and American falls are visible from the room window. The linen was clean and fresh smelling and the bathroom was very clean too - all basics well taken care of.

The deal included complimentary drinks and a dinner voucher - we chose to have drinks and appetizers only and they were fine with honoring that. The restaurant has a good view, food quality was fair - good and service was certainly good. I tried naughty & spiced rum which was neither naughty nor spiced - I would pass on it. the chocolate Martini was good though, so was the spiced bruchetta flatbread and the dessert sampler that our boys enjoyed thoroughly.

This deal also included breakfast for two and it was a good full breakfast that we thoroughly enjoyed.

Frankly, I found nothing to complain about here or find fault with, I would certainly stay here again.

Room Tip: Choose a room on a higher floor if you have Fallsview

We went back to this hotel after a nice experience from November, so this is our 2nd time here. We liked the hotel deals that they email you afterwards. With buffet breakfast and Milestone's voucher, it's a good deal. Check in was good, we asked for adjoining rooms and she accommodated that. The kids love the pool. It's always warm. They also have a hot tub and sauna for the adults. We don't usually eat at Milestone's in Toronto but surprisingly they have good food. I would recommend this hotel to couples or families with young kids.

Room Tip: Fallsview rooms are good, but cityview is not bad. Choose a higher floor when getting a fallsview r...

This place is in transition. It is an old Hotel with plumming problems. Our room looked okay but was very dusty and the tub drained the water very slowly. If you get a great price it is okay.

My girlfriend and I had booked for one night through one of those name-your-price websites so we knew that we'd have a chance at getting a king room if we asked when checking-in but less of a chance of getting a falls-view room, but we asked anyway. The guy checking us in was very nice and when I asked about getting a king bed and falls-view he offered us two upgrade choices: $25/night for a king falls-view or $80 for a jr presidential suite. We opted for the jr pres suite, but then got upgraded to the two-story loft a minute later. It was fantastic! Best view of the falls we've ever seen. We were on the 22nd floor and had a two-story floor-to-ceiling window to look out from. It was such a nice room that we didn't even want to leave for dinner. When we did leave, we decided on milestone's that was just downstairs. Great food and great service. Our server (I think his name was Jess) even got me a meal that saw on the lunch menu that wasn't normally available for dinner (fantastic veggie wrap). We had a bottle of wine in our room and called service for a corkscrew and wine glasses; they arrived within minutes. Next time we come to the Falls, we're not going to want to go anywhere else but here after this experience - we've been spoiled.

Room Tip: The upgrade cost for a room with a view of the falls is worth the $25/night upgrade. The upgrade co...

This was the best hotel my better half and I have ever stayed in. We had a beautiful suite with a view on the 16th floor overlooking the falls. The room was immaculate. The jacuzzi was spectacular and if you're there at the right time you can see the fireworks from your room as we did. The breakfast buffet was also superb. Thank you Marriott staff for everything.

One thing i'll say though, don't be a sucker and pay the optional 3% vacation tax (Destination Marketing Fee AKA DMF) - There are many names for this and they add it onto your bills in both the restaurant and the hotel. There is no such thing. It's an optional fee they automatically charge.

Room Tip: Take a fallsview room if you can, and as well the higher up you are, the better. Preferred is 14th-2...

This was a one night stay to see a show at the Fallsview Casino. We had a city view room on the 15th floor which was spacious and clean and somewhat dated. A Fallsview room is a $30.00 upgrade. We have been in Niagara Falls at least 20 nights in the last few years and did not mind to not be able to see the Falls from our room.
The bathroom setup was nice; it had an additional counter outside of the bathroom which allows one person to finish make-up or grooming while the other person is showering.
The hotel also provides coffee and tea in the room. I mention this because it was good coffee and we were able to take it with us(paper cups and lids) on our way home.
We had purchased this room through a travel website that offers deals in Niagara all the time.
For $119 plus tax we got a room, free shuttle(to 9pm), 2 alcoholic drinks, 2 free breakfasts, $25 towards dinner and $25 towards lunch. The restaurant is on the second floor and some seats overlook the falls; it is a Milestone's. The dinner was good, the red wine was good. The service was excellent and breakfast was out of this world(for Niagara Falls anyway)
The choices on the buffet were. Variety of juices and teas; coffee, milk, yogurt, cottage cheese, oatmeal porridge, blueberries, 2 types of melon, water melon, tangerines, grapefruit, pineapple, granola, cereals, buns and muffins and pastries, scrambled eggs, sausages, fine bacon, ham, cold cuts, raisins, cranberries, cinnamon sugar, french toast and more stuff I can't remember - also an omelet station for custom eggs or omelets.
I don't eat any grains and usually have a hard time at a breakfast buffet, but not this one.
We had to skip lunch. Parking is $20 - Valet $25
Walking to the casino is about 10 minutes.
It is the second Marriott on the street when you come in from Murray Avenue; the First Marriott was kind enough to tell us before we got out of our car.
Also there are renovations being done, but they did not affect our stay in a negative way.
Will not hesitate to come here again.
