We spent 2 nights with my wife in late august in room #2909
Nice view but hotel very expensive, but the worst thing would be that housekeeping stole from us, I lost shoes.
After we checked out I realized that I left shoes behind by the bed covered with the bed cover,2 hours after checked out phone the hotel and let them, their response was that nothing been found, later they do not even bother to reply to my emails

The hotel: read posted reviews of the hotel before you go. we got lucky to be in contact with one of the customer assistance manager ALLISON WILKINSON who was willing to address our concerns before the visit.

I reserved the room in May 2010 for an August visit-- they put us on the 41st floor w/c I guess too high that we feel we dwarfed the view of the Horseshoe Falls-- altho the site was still stunning fr. the room but to our right was the top of Minolta tower w/c my kids call "the yucky side" but we tried to look over the left side. we couldn't stop taking pictures of this world wonder!

more about the hotel---
staff: young guys in the counter need to attend more customer service meetings to do the job better.

parking: we choose the $20 a day valet -- parked & forget the car for 4 days. TIP: use the
hotel's shuttle or get the Adventure park pass or take a walk -- most attractions are within 20-30 mins. except for the white water walk, floral clock, butterfly conservatory.

elevators: take the service to the the 9th flr. then get the next one going up or down -- we're lucky we don't have to wait.

bfast buffet: on our first day-- they put us in the arcade area, then I noticed there were only couple tables filled up so I went inside the KEG and most people were there. I was upset & told the waitress about it --FYI if u come in early bet. 8-815 a.m. u can sit by the window & see the falls @ bfast.

incline railway: if u get the Adventure pass - this ride is also included plus the people mover's bus x 2days. it's convenient. get the pass fr. ur AAA more cheaper. it's 39+++tax in niagara. take the double bus on ur first day & tour the interesting sites u can get on & off & the bus comes every 15 mins.

if possible DON'T get the hotel family package--it's expensive and the inclusions are lame! the dino ride was awful -- the screamers was ok (too dark) -- dave & busters, i booked for a $60 game card but the guy on check in gave me $40 (good thing i remember to ask him) -- the greg frewin magic show ticket was awfully located all the way to the back -- u can buy ur own magic show ticket plus dinner if u want or get closer.
this was a good entertainment for kids!

OTHER TIPS: pack ur own water, juice & soda-- leave them in ur hotel's ref. (ours was not working--(we have to put icebags to keep it cold!) grab them as u go--big savings.

eat good buffet bfast --lots of choices--skip lunch--attend the mgr's. reception for more drinks-soda, coffee, beer, wine --fill up on munchies, then have a lite dinner later!!!

MAID of the MIST-- go early in the a.m. or late p.m. not too crowded. GO TO THE FRONT-RIGHT SIDE OF THE BOAT for a FALLS FURY. do journey behind the falls, don't bother looking @ the portals--lame! go down the steps & touch the raging waters!
niagara's fury -- stay on the RIGHT side of the stage as u go in--just ok. definitely, do the white water walk!

opppsss---am going away from the hotel review! OVERALL-- it was an OK stay. could be better if we went off season. BTW the Niagara tax is now 13% on everything--yikkks! and look @ your hotel bill for added domestic tax for each item in ur bill everyday --it varies.
the lady said this money goes to the city hall -- for what? didn't they taxed us 13% already? dollar is 1:1 -- don't buy anything from the hotel.

that's all. and oh, don't forget to have a side trip of the American Falls--it's cool!

We stay here twice a year when we go to the Falls. When we go in the winter, we stay at a B&B on the U.S. side. Embassy Suites has the best customer Service, the best complimentary cooked-to-order breakfast around, and the rooms are very clean with spectacular views. We always stay in Junior presidentials on the top floors with a view of both falls because of the children. When they do fireworks, they are exploding almost level with our room. Never had a bad experience with a room or the people that work there. You do have to pay for parking. Spend the $30 for the Valet. They bring it to you whenever you need it at any time of the night. There is a Starbucks and a great restaurant called the Keg. Good food, good times. There is also a TGI Fridays with a decent bar. Join the HHonors club like we did and we get compd every time we go. I have recommended this hotel to many friends and family who agree it is one of the best around. If you have kids, make sure you go to the Fallsview indoor water park! The rooms are huge and the whirlpool tub is big enough for Mom and Dad ;)

Stayed in 3 room suite, overpriced to say the least. It consisted of a fairly cramped king bedroom, a foyer and an adjoining room that had a conference room table, and 2 sofa beds. The sofa beds were in need of new mattresses, they were VERY uncomfortable. The king bed needed replacing, and there were tube televisions in the rooms. Paying $1000 a night (with the outrageous taxes), was the dumbest thing we've ever done. There are tip jars at check-in, but why tip for poor, unfriendly service? I didn't! There was only 1 bellman working when we were checking out, we ended up taking down our luggage ourselves. Valet didn't offer to assist us with loading. Manager's reception consisted on snacks on the pool table. The nicest Canadians on the whole trip were the wait staff at TGI Fridays. They were friendly, every one else seemed to not care you were boosting their economy.

The Embassy Suites was a busy place indeed and if you do not like to be packed into the elevator after waiting awhile for one then this is not the place for you. While the room was decent and view wonderful...we forgot to take into consideration that if you are on the top floors 28 and above...you wait and wait for an elevator. We stayed on the 34th floor. The room was clean. Beds just okay.

Breakfast buffet was fair in food taste, just not my cup of tea....waiting in a line like a Vegas buffet (I lived in Vegas and felt that Niagara seemed like a mini strip) for mediocre food was not worth it.

One night in the hotel should have been enough but having never been there we stayed 2 nights. Not sure it was worth the price.
The arcade was expensive and did not seem like anything special.
The tour folks in the lobby were giving my husband the major up sell for tours when he just wanted to inquire for the maid of the mist. We felt we wanted to do something like that which was unique to the location...We did not have to go to an amusement park rides like the ones back in the states.
The lobby and front car park area/valet area was tight in space. Decor nothing special. The pool was kid friendly but turned my son's bathing suit from blue to purple due to chemicals. OOPS!

If you only care about the view from your room...book this hotel, but if you want more from it...choose another.
