Had a blast!! The americana resort was great too because all the rooms are around a common area so the kids could sleep while the adults stayed up and played cards

“Surprisingly good!”
Reviewed 10 April 2012

This was our first visit to the Fallsview Waterpark. We have visited Great Wolf Lodge before (a couple of years ago). It was not crowded (despite being during U.S. school's April recess), extremely clean, and the staff was very courteous and friendly. We arrived shortly after they opened on a Tuesday. We were able to rent a large locker which we recommend because the small ones are quite small (but big enough to store valuables....just not coats, shoes, etc.) We printed $10 off per person coupons from the internet so the cost was approx. $36/pp. The cost of the large locker was $18 (but they refund $10 when you return the key). We rented a life vest for one of our children which cost $20 but they refund it fully when you return it. They write down your wristband number for both the key and lifevest so they can be sure the correct person is returning them and getting the credit which is nice. The only thing to know is that the lifevest is only useful in the wave pool. You cannot wear the lifevest down the slides. No outside food is allowed which is a little disappointing but understandable. We like to pack healthy snacks such as fruit and granola bars. We did eat lunch at the food area and it was slightly expensive but not outrageous. The kids had grilled cheese combos (sandwich, fries and a drink) and that was $5.99 (Canadian). I didn't think that was too bad. It would be nice to offer milk or 100% fruit juice instead of only fountain soda for the kids. My husband and I had veggie wrap combos (wrap, bag of chips, and soda)....the wraps were fine...though no dressing which on the bright side makes it healthier I guess. This was $7.99 (Canadian). Consider having dinner after visiting the waterpark at Ristorante Napoli.....it's an excellent restaurant that we have visited mulitple times! The waterpark was exceptionally clean! Not sure if other reviewers visited on busy days and maybe that was why the commented that it wasn't clean. I have to disagree completely...it was extremely clean! In the women's restroom and locker room, there was an employee constantly cleaning up....mopping the floors, wiping the counter tops, picking up towels, etc. My husband said that he didn't see that in the men's locker room but said that the locker room was fine. He also thought that the facility was exceptionally clean. We always bring water shoes so our feet felt fine walking around all day. They provide extra swim diapers which is a nice touch. Unfortunately, towards the end of the day a child must have had a mishap in the wave pool so that and the body slides and mat slides (racers) were closed for approx. 45 minutes. No fault of staff...seems like they cleaned up the problem immediately and treated the water...this happens at all water parks! It is a good idea to be sure your child is 42" though as most of the slides require this height. There is a small area for really little kids (2 and under) with a tiny slide. Then there is an area that I would say would be for kids ages 2-7 with 2 small slides and then 3 medium slides. This area has the buckets that fill and dump and "water guns" that kids can aim and shoot. The water was a little cold but I am a bit of a "wimp" when it comes to water temp. The kids weren't bothered by it at all. If you compare this area to Great Wolf lodge...I think Fallsview is better for this group of kids who aren't quite tall enough for the "adult slides". Then there are 2 hot tubes and an outdoor pool with multiple backetball hoops. I think you can "check out" the basketballs like you do the life vests. The tube slides include 3 slides and then the "bowl" slide. There are 2 body slides and 2 slides that you must use mats and are like "racing slides".....all the slides require a height minumum of 42" except for the mat "racing slides" which require a height of 48". If I remember correctly, this park might be a touch smaller than Great Wolf which is nearby but we really enjoyed and will visit again. Unlike Great Wolf, you can visit without having to stay overnight.....and with the recent outbreak of bed bugs in so many hotels we were just looking for a fun filled day without the headache or worry of being exposed or bringing home bed bugs! Plus if staying overnight, you incur the additional costs of at least 2 more meals. On a final note, we did not park in the parking garage as the cost was $20. Instead we "self parked" in a outdoor/uncovered parking lot just "behind" Planet Hollywood and just beside the parking garage. It only cost $5 and was steps away from the garage which you walk into on the 3rd level and catch the elevators on the far side to the top floor "WP" for the waterpark.

“Dirty and dated.”
Reviewed 9 April 2012

Kids comaplained that they couldn't breath. It was too warm and had poor air quality. Food inside waterpark was poor. Waterpark slides and interior need to be replaced or fixed up. Wet dirty bathrooms.
