The Historic Pacific
Reviewed 22 March 2012

My husband and I wanted a night away and he found the Historic Pacific online and we both instantly thought it looked perfect. Chris and Jen were warm and welcoming and amazing hosts! Their daughter Bianca was a joy and dog Ellie was well-behaved a very loving! The room was beautiful and the claw foot tub a joy to soak in! The bed was great and the private lounge area was great for some wine and cheese at the end of touring the vineyards! Breakfast was amazing, we highly recommend the french toast! Chris gave great dinner and vineyard recommendations and was kind enough to make our dinner reservation for us! We full-heartedly recommend this place for any staying in Niagara on the Lake!

Stayed here for a friend's wedding, just one night but was not disappointed. Their site was excellent and we were given a warm greeting by Chris upon arrival. The room was good, decent size, nice comfortable four poster bed and an enormous sauna/shower in the bathroom, which was unexpected! They'd left some nice chocolates and were very accomodating. Breakfast was at 9am and it was great, lovely fresh apple pastries and delicious french toast with a berry reduction. Their dog was very friendly but well behaved. In terms of location, couldn't have asked for better, so close to the main street and also very close to the Gazebo by the lake. Nowhere downtown is that far away but this was a very convenient location. Very friendly, very comfortable and would definitely stay here again. Also do check out Jen's jams!

Room Tip: The road isn't busy so no problems with noise, if you look at the site its more for personal pre...

We went to NOTL for our yearly weekend getaway Sept 23-25th. We had a wonderful time at this B and B. Hosts Chris and Jen were very personable and helpful. I am not a dog lover but their dog was well behaved and no problems at all. I loved the marble fireplace in the dining room. The daily breakfasts were delicious. We both enjoyed Jen's homemade croissants and Jam. I give that a big thumbs up. The location can't be beat. The street is one block from Queen Street and very near the water and park. You can walk most anywhere with little effort. We stayed in the Pacific suite and I must admit it wasn't up to my standards but it has good bones. The bed was VERY comfortable and the sheets high quality. There is a window airconditioning unit which didn't surprise us but what did was there wasn't a closet to hang clothes. The big claw tub in the bathroom was a bit awkward to use and the overall bath could use a refreshment. The thing that turned us off was the big stains on the carpet. We couldn't figure out if it was red wine or mildew/mold. We did get confirmation from Chris that someone spilled red wine and our suggestion was to rip the carpet out and put wood or other type of flooring that is easier to clean up. The home is evolving and the hosts seem to be renovating and improving things. Overall, the stay was positive. Would we stay again? Not sure..the hosts were the best we have had at any BnB in NOTL but the room carpet would need to be changed.

This lovely, historic home is outstanding! The location is a quick walk from main street, and the hosts - Chris & Jen - were so warm and welcoming. We stayed in a large, beautifully decorated suite with a very comfortable king-sized bed. The attention to little details in our room are too numerous to mention, but were so appreciated! We were treated to an amazing gourmet breakfast each morning, and felt like dear friends and not paying customers while we visited with Chris & Jen. Thank you so much for your hospitality!

Highly recommended!

I had a top notch experience at the Historic Pacific. The owners, Chris & Jen, are warm, welcoming and helpful. It was easy to fall in love with their family and charming B&B. When we visited, the owner's mother graciously offered me a guided tour and showed me all of the bedrooms before the other guests arrived. Each room was lovely and had it's own character. The zen-inspired landscaping outside was also a nice touch.

The location is great; easy walking distance to shops, restaurants, theaters and parks. I was able to go for a leisurely run on a path that runs along the water; a real treat after running on a treadmill in the city!

Overall, our visit to the Niagara-on-the-Lake and stay at the Historic Pacific was perfect.

Thank you Chris and Jen!!!

We took our first trip to Niagra-on-the-Lake in July, 2011, and our experience was greatly enhanced by our stay at the lovely Historic Pacific Bed & Breakfast. Our hosts, Chris and Jen, could not have been more gracious or helpful. They made us feel like family. Their suggestions for dining and visiting wineries were right on. The gourmet breakfasts served each morning were creative, delicious and always included juice, fresh fruit and some veggies. We stayed 3 nights in the “Armstrong Quarters” and, although it was the hottest days of the summer, we were very comfortable in our lovely room. The unique 2 person Italian Spa Shower in our room had a variety of shower heads, seats and an option for steam. The location of the Historic Pacific is perfect since it is only 1 block to the main street with all its quaint shops, restaurants and theaters. We only needed our car to visit wineries and Niagra Falls. We would not hesitate to go back and spend more time at this friendly B & B. We highly recommend!
