We stopped at this lovely winery for one of their scheduled tours. The tour isn't very long, but the young tour guide did an excellent job, giving us some background history of the winery and the wines it produces. After the tour we were offered some tastings including a couple of ice wines. I must admit I am not a knowledgeable ice wine drinker - I have never tasted one that I particularly liked. However the Pillitteri ice wines were excellent. I particularly liked the red ice wine!!

This was the second time visiting this winery, which was out of our control, as it was part of a tour. The actual tour is quite enjoyable, and informative. They have an interesting family history. Our guide was excellent and the tasting was good, although a little chaotic due to the number of people who were there. This place seems to be a jumping off point for a lot of tours. The wine is fine, but not spectacular and with the Italian background, I was expecting bolder reds, which didn't seem to be the case. Most likely we will not return.

Staying in Niagara on the lake and we wanted to try some wine. We picked Pillitteri Estates and it is really beautiful. The staff is really friendly. They give tours of the facility and it is really clean. The wines were good but the ICE WINE was great. I bought a bottle of the ice wine.
