I love having the option of getting gluten free fish and chips or gluten free chicken nuggets on my home from work.
I've never had the food be bad, the fries like others have mentioned could be crispier, and sure the prices can be higher but we all know to expect that when it comes to gluten free.
What drives me nuts is the customer service. Every year for Good Friday I order massive amounts of fish and chips from a regular place and then need a portion or two that's gluten free for myself. Recently the restaurant has stopped taking call ahead order, I was told due to some people not picking up their food. So rather than show up and wait 20 minutes then go home, it's easier for me to not place the order and cobble together something at home.
Alternatively, a Good Friday in the past I went in first thing and none of the fryers were going, nothing was being made and I was told I couldn't place an order because they were too busy. I tried calling in later and the phone wasn't picked up, figuring it was busy I went back in, in person and was told they weren't picking up the phone and I should have tried earlier because they were too busy.
