There is always a line up at Teddys. You can expect a clean restaurant with promp service. They always start with water at the tables and are very knowledgable of the menu and sides that come with them. The portions are large and the food comes out hot. As for homemade, not all of it is. Their house dressing is homemade but has MSG in it. It is salty but tasty, if you can get past the msg. The place feels like a step back in time to me and the menu reflex a 1970's kind of fare. The prices are good for the food you get and it is a relaxed and warm atmosphere. The strawberry pie is a specialty but I have never thought it was all that great. I don't like the crust, it is slighly bitter, and they put fresh (sometimes ripe) strawberries on it, and pour this goopy stuff over it! The coconut pie is better in my opinion. Its the closest place around that has some what homemade type food topped with large portions makes people line up. We don't have alot of selection in the area to compare at this price range.
They are not open late, but do serve breakfast!
