It was nice to see the inside of the buildings. Security is tight so make sure you don't have anything that they think could be a weapon. It is great to see the architecture of the building and the library is absolutely breathe taking. You need to take the tour if in Ottawa.

Love the tour we had at the Parliament hill. The building is so beautiful, every room is interesting. And the tour guide was so fun and it's totally free. U can get the pass in the building (with a ? Sign) across Parliament hill.

Unfortunately we had to queue for 50mins to get tickets for the tour of the Parliament Buildings (this was our own fault). When we eventually got to the front of the queue we got 2 of the last 4 tickets available, but on a French speaking tour (we're British & don't speak much French!).

Despite this the experience was amazing. We went up the Peace Tower and did the guided tour including the fantastic library, We were surprised that the tour did not include seeing the main debating chamber so we asked if we were able to visit this. We were advised we could but it would involve further waiting. We did have to wait about 30mins to get to security and probably another 15 mins there. However, once through we went into the visitors gallery. We were very lucky to see a full Parliament
sitting (including Justin Trudeau) as they had just voted on a bill which had passed. It was really interesting just to watch the politicians. We stayed for about 45 minutes and it was one of the highlights of our holiday!

Really very beautiful place. Open for free. If you are visiting Ottawa you visit this place. There are also an elevator to the top of the tower with cool viewpoint.
