Nice, clean hotel with really big rooms, comfy beds and great pillows. Microwave, small fridge (extremely small) and coffee maker with a small sink are also provided in the rooms.
Right of the exit from 417 highway and a few minutes driving distance to St. Laurent mall.
Restaurant Le Bistro downstairs, serves breakfast, lunch and dinner ( dinner until 10 pm). They don't offer room service, but you can order the food as a takeout in your room. Breakfast can be served a la carte or buffet style. Buffet is 15$ or 6.50$ for children. I found it a bit expensive for the breakfast buffet. The restaurant is really convenient and offers good options for lunch and dinner, including soups and salads, burgers, pasta and children's menu. And Starbucks coffee.
Parking is free and underground. During the day, the car can be left in the big outdoor parking area in front of the hotel. However they require you to move the car underground for the night. We did not try the pool or the fitness room.
My only complaint would be the slamming doors. They are really heavy and noisy when closing (they close with a vengeance!). Also, be prepared for a long time waiting for the elevator, especially on the weekend / Sundays morning when many people are checking out and the elevator is full of luggage, so you can't get in.

We come to Ottawa about once a year for a night or two. We usually stay at another hotel downtown, but we had a number of Marriott Hotel Rewards points to use so we chose to stay here instead. With less than a 10min drive into downtown and free parking, it was worth a shot!

And, we were very happy with our decision!

Check-in was quick and simple. We were also upgraded to a suite, which was a very pleasant surprise as we were travelling with a toddler and the extra room is great for playtime! They also told us that a crib was available and had been left for us in the room. The only negative comment I have to make is that a “crib” is never a crib – it is a playpen, which is not suitable for a 2.5 year old. I wish that hotels would either 1) invest in some actual cribs or 2) call it a playpen on the registration page and we wouldn’t have requested one. In either case, we had brought our own twin air mattress and we did not need their playpen.

One of the three elevators was broken for the duration of our stay. I overheard someone say that this was a common occurrence and that she would be making a formal complaint. I understand her frustration as the hotel was fully booked (due to a Skate Canada competition in addition to the usual travelers), but we didn’t find it to be that much of an inconvenience. The difficulty was that numerous hotel guests impatiently rode the elevator up to go down and down to go up, so they were constantly full. This is not the hotels fault!

We also had the opportunity to use the pool and hot tub located on the top floor of the hotel. The premises were exceptionally clean considering the number of people using the area throughout the day. Towels were provided as well as a shower, bathroom facilities and a gym. The pool water was comfortable and the hot tub was nice and warm.

We never had any trouble parking in the underground garage and always found a spot.

We did go to the hotel restaurant on one occasion for an afternoon snack, and this was the only disappointment of our stay. The person at the cash was not familiar with the menu and could not answer my questions, their service was painfully slow and I waited a good 15 minutes for my order, and their items were horribly overpriced. But, the food itself was good if you really must eat there.

All in all, we were very happy with our stay and I will definitely look this hotel up the next time we travel to Ottawa.

Rooms are large and very comfortable. Parking under the hotel, and staff is very accommodating and friendly. A shout-out to Brayan, our waiter for breakfast who was super nice and gave exceptional service.

Full kitchenette. Great location within walking distance of the parliament buildings and the Museum of Nature. Located along a major bus route makes getting around without a car easy. Rooms a little older but great value.

Rooms are large and include fridge, microwave and wash basin. Real glasses and china mugs are provided (instead of disposable plastic and paper cups). Free underground parking is included without charge. Easy drive to downtown and other locations due to easy access to the Queensway. Train station is within walking distance or a short cab ride (if you have luggage).

Room tip: Marriott app provides you the option to pre-check-in.
