Nice premises, convenient location in Byward Market, and really excellent gelato. I had nocciola and pistacchio, my go-to flavours in Italy, and they were amazing (and very generous scoops). The only thing I would say is that from outside this place doesn’t look as attractive and obvious as some of the other very fancy-looking gelato places. Another place nearby looks prettier and is easier to spot on the street, but a local told us that this is the best gelato in the city and has been going for over 15 years, boy was she right! So go for quality gelato over fancy exteriors!

Live this place. High quality gelato. A good selection of flavours and good coffee for those wanting some caffeine. Choice or cups or cones. Friendly efficient staff.

The choices at Piccolo Grande are great. It is always a summertime favourite of ours when we go to the market in Ottawa.

Great gelato place! Good location near parliament at Byward Market. Nice service. Clean bathroom. Pistachio, amaretto and dark chocolate with orange were all really good.

Very good quality gelato. The lemon and coconut were my favourites by far. Service one day was fantastic but the next we were met by a very surly somewhat rude person but the gelato is very very good and i am a gelato fiend.
