I really regret doing this as letting the word out about this fantastic pub will only make it tougher to get a table in the future. This family run pub is the "real deal." The staff welcome you and will bend over backwards to make your evening enjoyable. The owner circulates the pub, talking to the patrons and helping out his staff. There is a WIDE variety of beer on tap and seasonal brews are brought in. The foreign and domestic microbrewery selection is impressive. The food is superb with the menu changing on a regular basis. In the summer there are patio gourmet BBQ menus. The setting is perfect as the pub is a 18th century schoolhouse. Reservations on weekend nights are a must as this place is extremely popular with the locals. We frequent pubs often and this is the best we've experienced in Canada. You will find it particularly pleasant if you're tired of the typical corporate chain approach to pubs in Ottawa. The human touch to service in this pub is much appreciated!
