Spent the the weekend in the semi-private courtyard suite. It was wonderful. Spacious room, jacuzzi, mini fridge, microwave and sink. The courtyard was a big plus for us as two of our party smoked and this made the stay that more enjoyable as they could smoke on the patio and not have to stand out front. Coffee is served 24 hrs and breakfast each morning, there are many restaurants within walking distance or a short drive. Try one of a 100 poutines at the Whistle Stop Cafe next door or Mexican food at El Camino's a block away. Absolutely the friendliest and helpful staff I have had the pleasure of meeting.

Stayed here on business. Very good location close to restaurants. Clean and friendly. Comfortable rooms and beds. Good price. No on-site parking. You need to park a block away in a municipal parking lot but that is part of the room price.

This grand old hotel is right in the heart of downtown Peterborough with shops and food all around. It is easy to find and the parking garage they use is nearby. The staff are easy to talk with, down to earth, and are very accommodating. Their breakfast is simple, but very filling. The first room we were assigned smelt as though someone just smoked a cigarette in it. When we went to the receptionist and stated the issue he immediately transferred us to a new room. Our room had one room full of windows overlooking main street, but the curtains kept the sun out in the morning. The fireplace was warming, and the hot water to reach temperatures like lava (it was fantastic)!

Very friendly and helpful staff. The hotel - common areas, elevators, halls, rooms and bathrooms were spotless. Comfortable beds, nice room layout. Good location to access downtown restaurants, theatres, bars. Would definitely stay there again.
