When you are hungry or need caffeine when in Canada you can always count on a Tim's being around the next corner. I was travelling in Jellicoe amvery donutty name in the US and all we wanted was a donut/coffee stop and guess what? No coffee for you it was a Tim-less donut store free kind of town.

Well Tim's I appreciate you.
Fast drive thru good friendly service.

Americans hang out in neighbourhood bars.

Canadians hang out at Coffee Shops.

Tim Hortons is the place for us to feed our need for Coffee.

Torn from it's original roots of good old fashion in store baking and counter seating. The Tim Horton's of today is a very slick corporate operation with well styled corporate, cookie cutter outlets. Just like so many other fast food outlets you know what to expect before you go into or drive through any Tim Hortons in Canada or the US. However there are shuttle differences that they market to our American cousin to lure them into this Canadian favourite. Not just a Donut store anymore. The quality of food is good and consistent. The many forms of Coffee's are great. Tim's has grown into the fast food place for everyone. However in it's homogenization it has lost much of it's original charm.

One thing I'll never understand is Canadian people's obsession with Tim Hortons (and I say this as a Canadian).

Now I don't drink coffee so I can only report what I'm told, but as I understand it the coffee is not that fantastic and only a few cents cheaper than Starbucks anyways.

There's not a ton of drink options for people who don't drink coffee or tea, and what there is, is vastly over priced.

Their donuts are pretty blah and cardboard like. Pastries the same and the food is nothing to write home about!

What can you say. We love our Tims.
Everything here is like every other Tims. Cookie Cutter good. Not quite as good as the original but American perfect or the same everywhere you go. Enjoy.
