We stayed at this hotel because we were there to attend a wedding. The food served at the wedding was pretty good and certainly above average compared to weddings held at other hotels.
We had the small suite for our room and it accommodated nicely three adults and two small children.
Unfortunately we were bluntly lied by a front desk person that all suites in this hotel are accessible (meaning that there's no bathtub and instead a large shower to accommodate disabled people). With two little kids we needed a bathtub, so unwillingness by an employee to accommodate our request to change the room is regretful. Especially because the reservation did indicate that there will be three adults and two children with no additional requests for an accessible room.
The beds are very nice and come with clearly marked soft and firm pillows.
The two elevators are the biggest disadvantage of this hotel. With just ten floors between which these elevators need to go it could easily take five minutes to wait for them to get to you. When you're fully clothed in winter jackets and have luggage and toddlers such a wait is really annoying. Of all the hotels that I ever stayed in these elevators were definitely the slowest. The slow elevators were cursed by all guests that were there. There’s also no service elevator, which means that all the room service personnel have to also take the same elevators adding to the congestion.
The other negative was the small number of parking spaces in front of the hotel, and no clear signage indicating that there's additional parking at the back. However, who would want to park at the back far away from the entrance anyway? Especially when there's no continuous sidewalk and the driveway is full of slick frozen puddles and slushy snow.

Room Tip: Make sure to request a regular non-accesible room (unless of course you need one).

We stayed here overnight after having had a Christmas party in the hotel that evening rather than driving home late. What a delight. This recently updated hotel is well appointed and clean with up to date colours and amenities. The bathrooms are lovely and the beds and pillows are extremely comfortable and warm at this chilly time of year. It was also quite quiet considering we were on the same floor as a hockey tournament of youth.
I would definitely stay here again. The only negative thing we noted was the elevator service is very slow and it is easier to take the stairs.

Room Tip: We were on the fourth floor.

Stayed athotel during "grape and wine/Brock days homecoming" weekend on a Saturday night. Bridal show also taking place on the morning after check in as well as a large hockey tournament at the arena across he street. Checked in late due to activities (post 11pm) and front desk staff (Australian) welcomed warmly. Assigned room on 9th flor next to elevator. king room was spacious, especially for solo traveller. Recently opened as new floors were added within the year. Extra-large shower with two shower heads. Large flat screen TV. In the morning the windows provided a hreat view out towards the escarpment, west St.Catharines and the 12-mile creek. Morning lobby was quite busy as many events going on. Checked out by 9 as had activities that day. HON hospitality has done a great job on this property, well needed for a city the size of St.Catharines.

This is the 3rd time I stayed in this hotel including the remodeling time when they switched from Quality Inn. The location is perfect, the room are great, rooms has fridge and microwave. My request have always been honored and I also ate in the restaurant and the coffee shop with great food experience This time I was not heading to St. Catherine but on the way to Toronto and I stayed because I had prior pleasant experience and they did not disappoint me. I am going back in Marc for a meeting

We stayed recently as part of a Christmas Party being held at the Holiday Inn.
We upgraded our room from a standard room to a king jacuzzi suite, and were wow'd when we walked in the room. Not only was the room spacious, but the jacuzzi was enormous!
Graeme, the Front Desk Agent that checked us in was super friendly and helpful (as well as check out actually!)

In terms of the Christmas Party we attended, the function space was very nice and suited the needs well of the company we were with.

I would definitely recommend this place to other travellers!
