The Chisholm's is a lovely home, beautifully decorated with modern, spacious baths. The breakfast is pleasant. I would not say anything negative about the property. But, the place is missing the warmth and hospitality we are accustomed to in B & B's. Kent and Diane were pleasant enough (although we only saw Diane once). Kent tends to tell one of a few stories and then retreat. The whole experience is more on the stuffy side. Our room was so over decorated that it was difficult to find a place to put our personal things. Even the closet has the hangers filled with costumes from the theater - kind of a neat idea, but not when there isn't a place for a guests to put their own clothes. And the advertised internet rarely worked.

This 3-bedroom B&B has provided us excellent accommodation for several years. The owners are enthusiastic and involved in the theatre, and can provide great insight and advice on shows, theatre tours, local attractions and restaurants. The rooms are always very clean, with excellent linens, and are well-equipped with little extras (tea/coffee, treats, ipod dock, reading lights, local info., etc.) as is the common lounge. Your closet will likely have an authentic theatre costume. The full breakfast is presented with care and always includes fresh fruit, fresh baked goods and a hot main course. Kent and Dianne are careful to cater to dietary concerns. Kids probably should not come here, though--the rooms are really only for adult couples. The property has a large porch for relaxing, and is within walking distance of all theatres and downtown shops and restaurants. Checkin available at 1 PM is convenient for a quick cleanup before catching the 2 PM shows. For friendly, involved and outgoing hosts, as well as comfortable rooms, you probably cannot beat this B & B.

Room Tip: The large 'English' room overlooks the main street; 'Touch of Asia' is small and quiet.

Dianne and Kent are truly wonderful hosts and hoteliers. They don't miss a single detail in their home/B&B to make every guest feel they are staying at the most luxuirious hotel with the charm and grace of a B&B. Breakfast is very special and the conversation around the table was wonderful, second only to a great meal prepared by our hosts.

The beds (matress, sheets and pillows) are the most comfortable I have every found in any hotel and the ensuite was magical.

Room Tip: every room is special and you can't go wrong here

Each year we visit we have the most wonderful experience. Love Dianne and Kent, love the location, love the plays, love the restaurants, with these factors you can't go wrong. The hosts provide an excellent breakfast and are absolutely so well versed on everything concerning this town you won't be disappointed.
